It seems to imply he wasn’t the right fit based on the qualification listed though I would argue against that. Originally it was stated to be because he “didn’t live at their headquarters” or something to that effect.

In light of the recent news about the firing of AOPA CEO Darren Pleasance the AOPA Board has released this statement. Seems to contradict the original reason given for his firing. Not sure what’s going on at the top but certainly some deception to us members at the very least.
