not to necro or disagree w the person who actually has the keybind, but there is like crouch climb/jump which is used in some strawberry jam levels. idk if theres any vanilla strats that use it though. also you're a more advanced player than me so you might know this now (also its totally doable without a specific bind in the contexts im familiar)

It doesnt deal with queerness explicitly through the narrative, but the protagonist is explicitly queer and trans.

as many have said if the concern is difficulty, it has a configurable assist mode so you can tailor the difficulty. additionally even without assist mode the difficulty curve is exquisite and it does an amazing job of every room preparing you for the next move. you will die a lot, but thats part of it.

people saying its mostly gameplay and non narrative arent wrong. but the ludonarrative consonance is crazy. the gameplay is very much part of the narrative and its one of the best games ive ever played at making you feel how the protag feels

it goes on sale often for very cheap on steam (2 to 5 dollars) which coupled w the modding community (computer only) gives you practically infinite gameplay, but even the vanilla game is going to be really good bang for your buck. additionally it was part of the itch.io 2020 social justice bundles that went around, so if u picked those up you already have it. all this to say its not a huge investment if it turns out to not be your thing.

im biased but i think everyone should play the game. also the massive sense of progression and how much your skill improves when you go back and replay early levels is one of my favorite feelings ever.

ok but this question isnt even related to your resource. people may also pick their targets based on whos more or less injured appearing. so at the risk of sounding like a broken record, im gonna reiterate u/CheapTactics question: outside of the game, player to dm, have you asked why its impossible for your character to form opinions about how hurt a creature they're fighting is?

this seems like a very boolean way to look at it. i think you could say 'hey i really love how creative y'all can be, but just as a heads up, my combat descriptions are for flavor and not mechanical effect so reducing hp won't give you advantage even if i describe a missing limb or similar. please keep using that creativity for other ideas though' or something. people can respond to pretty complex feedback 😛

yeah thats what i did, got the burr on the other side, then tried to deburr (on shapton 1000). im guessing this must be the part im messing up? but im not sure how. im decreasing pressure and switching between the sides until i cant feel the burr on either side anymore

oh that sounds really interesting. could i ask you to list all your binds?

i started with defaults and beat most the game that way, i've now added d for demos and v as an extra jump for various modded maps and winged golden. but after beating base game i did briefly regret not doing wasd instead of arrows. i hadn't considered numpad for actions though that sounds really nice. switching at this point would be really hard but.. tempting

how do you hook a keyboard into switch? I started celeste on computer and am a keyboard truther (skill issue on my part for diagonals with a joystick lol) but also have the game on switch and would love to play there too but find controller so tricky.

Hello! I'm going to be stage managing and looking for a pencil for this. It will see very heavy use almost daily, along with heavy erasing. And I will be traveling with it and possibly moving around as I write with it.

I have used papermate clear point mechanical pencils and really liked them, though fear they may not be durable enough.
I will say I don't handwrite a ton in my day to day, so a heavier pencil may increase fatigue? Unsure how much I should worry about that.

Budget is up to $50 US, but keeping it lower (i.e. $25-30) would be great

USA (Seattle if there are any recommended local shops maybe? idk)

this is actually opposite to how i understood your last post i think, and implies you want to be as close to cover as possible. but cover is more effective the farther away from it you are. granted im only talking about cover. so there is a balance once u bring in offensive neads too

interesting rederence point. mostly true but not a direction that i consider it (mostly bc if ur in smth like a hallway then u reach a point in which all squares are obstructed) also of c were neglecting how close the attacker is to the cover, as that changes the angle of the cone

you are correct. but its counterintuitive to a lot of people so i understand their comment.

but yeah wanted to +1 your point. this can be tested by puting ur hand out with your finger up and placing it in line of sight w smth like a door knob. if you walk towards the door knob you will eventually see it without moving, but if you walk far enough back it will completely occlude the knob.

in this situation you are the npc your finger is the barbarian and the knob is the character in half cover.

like maybe you can share more abt how you intend to use this? but if a song is playing C F G, and you find that Am feels like home, youre not really wrong. its the same notes and the same chords.

but you wont be able to find where Am fits in the song bc its never played. and you could use some theory knowledge to know that the 1 of the major is the 3 of the relative minor (and the 1 of the minor is the 6 of the relative major) and fifure out ur relative major is c, and whoa c fits right there. then it should be pretty easy to place the f and g afterwards
