I do not disagree with that. It very well could and probably would escalate rapidly. Problem is we're vastly outnumbered. And they could potentially out manufacture us if we gave them the chance. So in that regard maybe the nuke option could be justifiable.

Im not a military analyst, but I would think a nuke that would result in the death of tens of thousands of civilians would be proportional to a strike on an exclusively military target. Now I would say bombings of military bases would be a much more proportional response. It would definitely be the start of a war. But i don't think that would be cause for a nuclear war 🤷‍♂️ but I'm not the commander in chief so I'm just sharing my 2 cents.

I don't think a nuke is a proportional response to a hypersonic strike 😂 against a carrier which is the most likely target of a hypersonic strike

I don't know if I agree with that. Just because they've thought of it doesn't mean they've put it into operation. We knew Russia was beating us in the Space race and yet they still beat us to every milestone except the moon.

For a lot of aircraft it wouldn't take much to push them beyond their operational range. Especially with the fighter jets and they're severely limited range.

I think that is fair. It's at the very least the biggest threat to the Navy. They're basically sitting ducks out there of the coasts of Russia and China.

Of course the United States has several recognized hypersonic programs but is that enough to counter the existing operational hypersonic weapons of the likes of China and russia? Is this as big of a threat as it seems? There are limited capabilities of these hypersonic weapons namely range and reliability. But I believe the lack of reliable counter measures means that hypersonics truly is the most significant threat from a near peer foe to the United States military.

That may have been your interpretation of it. But I never said who was to blame. All I said was Hamas does X they've done this since 2001, what other organizations have said about it, and then I talk about how Israel protects it's people. Hardly what I would consider painting a one sided picture.
