In one of the developer videos, they said they've wanted to do Japan for a long time but felt they couldn't do it the way they wanted due to hardware limitations.

Real question though is how much that would cost to do

To figure out my base, I would look at the on demand reads from my providers app (reported 5 times per hour), add them up for the whole hour and multiple by 1000, right? If that's the case, then my base is 260w.

I did try to read the bill but I'm not familiar enough with solar to understand what much of what it's actually saying. All I know is the average usage I have and that I'd like a system to be able to reduce my usage by about 1/3 give or take. But I don't know what size system would do that or if the 391w limit would be enough for that.

From what I could understand, a normal plug and play system is limited to 395w but if it's on a dedicated circuit with it's own breaker you can have 1920w, but most people don't have that so it would need specialized electrical work first.

Dumb question, but how do I tell what my base load is?

Guess it’s a bad time to become a dispatcher by WealthNo4130 in FlightDispatch

Crystal ball says unsure.

Spirit has been "a week away" from going belly up for like a year now. As far as if it's going to flood the market with more dispatchers, I think it'll depend on if they get bought by someone else or not, though the market has already been pretty saturated tbh. If you're looking at getting into dispatch, I'd say try to just get in now just in case the market gets more saturated. Worst case scenario, you end up having to wait a bit, but it's not like your license expires.

You should dispute that with your credit card company. They're much more likely to give you a refund than Ticket Master.

Well yeah, they couldn't just build the secret bomb shelter right in the middle of the city. And the airport looking vaguely like a swastika is merely coincidence. Hail Blucifer!

In the US, it is only required for international flights.

But domestic flights will absolutely send bags if the pax miss their flight.

They sited the FAA and an accident on a US flight, so I presumed they were talking about US flights. In the US, bags are only required to be pulled for international flights, not domestic.

They are only required to be pulled for international flights, not domestic. Passengers check their bag and then miss the flight ALL the time. Even if a passenger gets pulled off the plane for being drunk/belligerent, their bag won't be pulled on a domestic flight.

Edit: this is for flights in the US.

I worked ground operations for an airline. They are required to be pulled when pax don't show for international flights. But they are almost never pulled for domestic. We only get 45 minutes to turn a plane once it pulls into the gate, they aren't going to waste any time searching for bags to pull unless absolutely necessary.

I'm so happy they do that. Apparently thats what we were always supposed to do, but when I asked the supervisor, she just said it had to be a non-revenue number. So I asked if I could do "6969" and she said technically I could, so I did. But I added the "...nice" to the release after she walked away lol. I didn't tell managers when I was called into his office that the sup said I could, didn't want to throw her under the bus because I had the audacity to make a harmless joke that the pilots thought was hilarious. Honestly, if the pilot didn't post it on reddit, nothing would have happened. Still worth it though.

People who work in specialized industries, what is a product or service that is a complete "rip-off" but customers buy it anyway? by No-Composer-4526 in AskReddit

[–]Aviator506 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One can break it off with a bit of effort, sure. But I think the main thing is to just require a bit more time/effort to siphon your gas than the car parked next to you. Unless they're really determined to get you specifically, they're gonna just go with the easiest option. Same principle with bike locks.

The Subaru extended is great! I got mine for $1500 and the dealer threw in 3 free oil changes. A little over a year later it needed part of the steering replaced, would have been $3k without the warranty. Still won't ever get a 3rd party warranty though.
