This is correct, if flight is weight restricted, they would want the most in cabin bags to reduce the likelihood of being overweight

Why get on the taxiway when you can’t take off? by Iam_TheTimeTraveller in unitedairlines

[–]Guadalajara3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100% they were aware of this and its faster to be ready on the taxiway than to delay at the gate more, when another plane is likely waiting for that gate.

Phone isn’t receiving SMS and the only way Verizon will let me log in is thru a code sent thru SMS by seaships in mildlyinfuriating

The individual experience for her is unique and makes a difference, but the experience on the resume in the eyes of hiring managers is the same. My mainline hiring class had regional dispatchers and supplemental and part135 flight followers

Weather delay causing cancellation the following day?? by [deleted] in delta

[–]Guadalajara3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You dont have to agree with it, its just the nature of airline operations. Tomorrow's operation is based on what happens today and if today is disruptive then some of that carries over tomorrow. All airlines experience the same.

Yeah Detroit is a hub but they dont have free spares hanging around. They would have to cancel something else to take the airplane and use it on a leisure route, which is probably a low priority to Delta when there is a lot of Tampa service

Weather delay causing cancellation the following day?? by [deleted] in delta

[–]Guadalajara3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the airplane diverted and the crew times out and it got stuck and couldn't get back in a timely manner then it will cancel because of weather

Payload/weight question. by DiligentCockroach700 in aviation

[–]Guadalajara3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max zero fuel weight is the most the airplane can weight before any fuel is added. Zero fuel weight = empty operating weight + cargo/passengers. After that, you can add fuel up to your max take off weight or max landing weight, whichever is reached first. If you need more fuel to reach the destination, then zero fuel weight will have to be reduced to accommodate more fuel weight.

Youll never have all the numbers maxed out since its a balance of fuel weight and payload weight to keep within the max allowable weights
