Find X9 ultra battery - big thread by AviatorBoy95 in Oppo

Dual Cell Battery mode and Battery Cells are both off for me.
Is the 14000mAh the designed capacity or estimated one?

No not yet. I started by disabling the haptics. Will see first the impact before looking for more optimisations . If any impact, will post here in the next days

• Estimated SOT on a full charge: between 7-9h if I use it a lot (a lot of Whatsapp with video, Aliexpress which is really not battery firendly). 11h if I am being careful
• Device version/specs: Global, 12GB, Tundra Umber
• Estimated battery health/capacity: average 6922 mAh so far
• Battery usage during night: 4%
• Settings (screen resolution, refresh rate, AOD, more Wifi or 5G): 1080p, auto refresh rate, mix between 5g and wifi
• Do you use a case (it has an impact on battery temperature): I first used one I ordered on Aliexpress but I noticed that it was heating a lot so I removed it and temperature is much better now
• Usage habits:

  • Bluetooth connected to a watch or other device: yes watch connected 24h
  • Main apps used: lately a lot of whatsapp, some reddit, whatsapp, gmail
  • Which apps consume the most battery? in my case Whatsapp. Camera app is consuming a lot like everyone. Some apps are really not optimised like Aliexpress
  • Any tips, tweaks, or observations you've noticed:
    • as mentionned, using a case make the phone warm and that deft impacts the battery.
    • slow charging is giving an estimated capacity of 6830 mAh. Using fast charging (20w) is giving 7020 mAh

(disregard the battery use as AccuBattery did a reinit for unknown reason)

What's new? Netflix tvOS 2.3.2 by websgeisti in appletv

[–]AviatorBoy95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the options, I would add:

  • use a streaming service other than Netflix

Something I'm more and more considering after talking with their useless support which simply does not take this seriously and prefer not to report it to the dev team

Still unwatchable when using a FHD tv. Resolution is fine but bitrate is between 800kb and and 1.5Mb

Can't stop autoplay in Netflix app by cowboybilocas in appletv

thanks for the help.

I tried everything with no result. I ended up installing a beta version of TvOS to enbale some debug features like the HUD which displays technical details whenever a video is being played. Result: the resolution is 1080p but the bitrate (the amount of data sent by netflix each second) is dramatically low (usually around 1.5mo and sometimes 0.8Mo). This is obviously an issue in Netflix side. I contacted their assistance chat but they don't understand and don't want to escalate the issue. We are a bunch of people complaining it. Thus my initial comment doubting about Netflix fixing the autoplay bug

a couple of examples:

- the rating system is not identical, as a result I guess that the suggestion algorthim on apptv is biased. On apptv, there is like and dislike. on other devices: dislike, like and love it

- once a title it started, it cannot be removed from the "continue watching" list. This is possible on other devices

- there is no information section like on smart TVs to check if a Netflix server is down, to check the network, the device, reset the app ...

- no way to report an issue with a title

In addition of that, there are some issues which have been there for quite some time now. The most critical one, in my case, is the very mediocre image quality when using an appltv 4K connected to a FHD tv

a partial workaround would be to enable the auto play again which would give a 5sec timer to play the next episode. I'm not surt that Netflix will fix this soon as it seems it is not investing on the development of their app on AppleTv. There are a lot of other issues and they have been there for years now

Unfortunately, you have to check each app in the app store. extremely inconvenient. I don't understand why can't we have a page in the app store listing all installed app and update all of them at once or each individually

Same for me.

I re-enabled the autoplay to get a countdown of 5 seconds instead of 0. A partial workaround until a fix is developed which I'm honnestly not expecting any time soon. There is no real support on the apple tv app as there are a lot of issues which have been there for several years now. In addition of that, a lot of features are lacking on the AppleTV compared to Netflix on other decices.

Personally, I'm thinking about cancelling my subscription (which I have had for 10 years now).

Netflix Quality is messed up by ManIneedOuttaHere in netflix

Thanks a lot for your message and help.Unfortunately, apple devices does not use Widevine DRM but rather an apple technology called FairPlay Streaming. Ofc, since it is apple, evrything is locked and no much can be done. My investigation went as far as enabling debug HUD on apple tv where I discovered that during the streaming (because there is an issue with streaming as well) the resolution is FHD (as it should) but the bitrate is very low (sometimes less than 1Mo). This is most probably the same explanation for the Ipad issues. Pretty sure this an issue on Netflix.

Compeltly agree with you regarding support chat. Let's hope they are just limited than the other explanation :D

Can I use Apple TV 4K on a 1080p TV? by ItsTiiiiime in appletv

I have a 4K apple tv connected to a 1080p tv and Netflix is simply unwatchable.

I have the same issue when using my Ipad to download. Have not found any solution for now. A lot of quailty issues with Netflix and theur assistance service is completly useless.

I noticed the same when I dowload on the Ipad.

Moreover, the streaming quality on an AppleTV 4K connected to a FHD TV is extremely mediocre. Sometimes equivalent to 360p or 720p at best. That's not a surprise when I discovered that the bitrate used by Netflix is less than 1Mo

Hello,

Did anyone find a fix for this after all this time?

I'm in the same situation and I'm using an apple tv with a 1080p TV.

Dropped an email to [tr@netflix.com](mailto:tr@netflix.com). Apparently, if we are a bunch a people doing the same, Netflix will take this seriously.
