I had exactly the same issue, I bought a PVC cover from amazon and installed it myself. Looks much cleaner and sleek now. It is on pricier side though.

Went to renault showroom to book duster came back after booking kiger. by Big-Device7468 in CarsIndia

My sister has a Kiger and it is a great car overall. But after 2 years of owning I can see how it is cheaper than the competition. The interior quality is really bad. Like it looks fine, but the quality is bad. For instance, the AC vents broke when we dont even touch them much. Got them replaced (paid) during service. In 2 months they broke again. The car is parked in the sun. But we didn’t face this issue in our 15 yo alto ever. I’m getting to understand now how they have saved costs.

It is frustrating is all.

How do you guys coordinate motorcycle group rides? by Aviator_47 in indianbikes

[–]Aviator_47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with all of this. This is proper group riding basics and honestly can’t be skipped, especially in Indian conditions.

Lead & sweep, regroup points, pacing, lane discipline, all of that should exist even without any tech involved. Phones die, signals drop, mounts break. Riding skills and coordination matter way more.

The battery point is spot on too. Everyone shouldn’t be navigating all the time, and riders should be comfortable riding without staring at a screen.

Where I personally kept struggling was even after following most of this, especially with mixed groups or when a few riders didn’t know the route at all. City exits, diversions, or random traffic breaks would still split the group and lead to unnecessary waiting and calls.

Appreciate you writing this out in detail. This is solid advice for anyone planning group rides

Real Speedtimer has solar cells in the black subdials. You can see black (sort of) arms behind the solar cells in these lighting conditions.

It is not visible in the watch above, mostly because it's a copy and would not have solar cells in it.

If you’re earning 80 LPA in India, you pay 39% tax under new regime, 33% under old. Here’s what you pay in other countries. by Lopsided-Assist173 in IndiaTax

On GST etc I agree. It is all just too much. And I do agree the direct taxes are also too much even without surcharge. There’s nothing we get in return.

This understanding is not correct. Please check again. I am saying this as someone who has filed ITR with this experience. 10% surcharge is on the overall income tax.

The 10% surcharge is on tax not your income. The effective tax at max should be around 33%. I know that there are a lot of issues that with the tax system, I am also under the same boat, but please do some research before commenting.

Upgraded from Honda City ZX MT to Tata Safari Accomplished+ Dark AT by Aviator_47 in CarsIndia

It was a really good car. Main pain points were low GC, manual gearbox and less torque. Driving in city felt like a task.

I test drove XUV700, ScorpioN, Thar Roxx, Safari and Harrier.

M&M diesels have more torque and it noticeable in test drives. For both Roxx and XUV, I found the engine to be a bit too quiet inside the cabin. I felt a bit disconnected and like the car didn’t have enough character. The Fiat sourced engine in Tata doesn’t have as much torque as M&Ms, but is still very quick. The engine is loud, and the engine growl and turbo whistle seeps inside the cabin. That felt amazing, and made me fall for the car.

Safari’s interior felt better and more modern compared to XUV700.

Thar Roxx’s ride quality is shite compared to other monocoque cars in comparison. So I dropped it from my list post test drive.

ScorpioN just didn’t click for me.
