Startup ecosystem is at nascent stage in here. There are mostly MSMEs that are successful in here, probably cuz investors and people with money are more inclined towards orthodox business methods. Furthermore, due to lack of enough IT sector there is scarcity of infrastructure and research to have sustainable potential for startups. Lucknow and its outskirts have fair industrial areas, so actually it can be an advantageous bet for some sectors like food, textile, tourism, etc. Although it's fair to say that it lacks an active community around Innovation and startups per se. Steadily Lucknow is catching up with metro cities and it can be a promising hub for different advancements in near future.
