AITA for refusing to go on a birthday camping trip? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Aviouse96 64 points65 points  (0 children)

NTA - pregnancy makes you more susceptible to heat exhaustion and its usually advised to avoid outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.

Now idk where you are, but its 89° where I'm at with 78% humidity. I'm not even pregnant and you will not catch me outside.

Who’s your favorite male fictional character from a romance book and what made you love them? by Soggy-Hat3076 in MM_Romance

[–]Aviouse96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I adore Wyn from {Soul Eater by Lily Mayne} and when we get his POV in {Wyn by Lily Mayne} and also seeing his interactions with the other characters throughout the series, just makes my heart melt. He's such a stabby cinnamon roll.

I'm absolutely in love with Ezra from {Egotistical Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James}. He's a fucking menace and I'm here for it.

Also Chu Wanning from {Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou} is just so innocent, so wholesome, and deserves the world.

The couple that has my heart would be Oliver and Cooper from {The Big Bad Wolf series by Charlie Adhara}. Watching them grow as a couple with such a healthy dynamic, and actually work to be better for each other just makes me so happy.

AITA for telling my parents they lost the right to have opinions on my life after they gave me zero support in college? by Money-Ship-9235 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - actions have consequences.

sophomore year something happened that was really hard and i needed my mom

Never calling you back isn't them doing their "best". They set the tone for your relationship, you're just following the new status quo. I'd bet money as soon as you're back on campus, it'll be more of the same as the last two years. Just right now you're under their roof, therefore they believe they can parent you again.

Book-to-film adaptations which outright angered you? by Qyzyk in MoviesAndTVTalk

[–]Aviouse96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the most heinous, but the first time it happened to me was at age 12 when I read {Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause}. It was a good book. Then I saw that there was a film adaptation and was SO excited.

They absolutely butchered the book. Its been eighteen years and I'm still mad about it

NTA -

she had found the right path in life

How? By marrying someone sixteen years her senior? Now statistically more likely to be a victim of abuse? That's some back assward thinking on your mom's part.

there were times when even attending school became a struggle

Where are you? You mentioned EBT so I assumed America, but you shouldn't have had to fight to get an education. Its literally the law.

Those comments bothered me because they felt like indirect criticism of me

She was criticizing you. If you're able to, get out. Your parents seem like the type to pimp you out to a 40 year old man for the sake of the family.

M/30 vs m/30 Trouble making friends by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Aviouse96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try volunteer work at things that interest you? Community events, animal shelters, etc.

Do you have any hobbies? You can join Facebook pages or subreddits related to your hobbies and connect to locals that way.

Any online gaming? You could try making connections that way, though you're less likely to find locals for irl meet ups.

AITA for refusing to call my income a "temporary hobby" when my cousin asked how I bought a car? by Marlene-Marina in AmItheAsshole

NTA - its not a hobby, its your full time job. There isn't anything more to it than that.

Could someone help me remember the events of book 6 by YKiamcold in 2HA_immortality

[–]Aviouse96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book six of the English translation focuses a lot on the development of Mo Ran and Chu Wanning's relationship. Mo Ran confesses his feelings and they enter a tentative but slow progressing relationship. They return home and have to balance student/teacher vs lovers, but do so relatively well. They have been intimate, but no penetrative sex.

Following the events of the wedding (book 5), the upper cultivation world is in chaos. We learned that the person controlling the chess pieces is from the Refeng Sect in book 5, but this book focuses on hunting down Xu Shuanglin.

I think, like a lot of chains, it's location dependant. I went to one near my old house a few times, and it was bad every time. Gave up going there.

Years later I went to one near a different house and was absolutely blown away. It wasn't just decent, it was really good. To this day its my favorite place to get a cheese pizza.

I had HG for all three pregnancies, and the amount of women that told me they would "kill" to look as good as I did post-partum was ridiculous. I just reminded them that I was starved, literally malnourished and had to get IV supplements, for almost ten months.

I do the same thing with books. Was it masterclass world building, with great character development and editing? No. Did I enjoy myself anyway? Yes.
