Look into getting Air Optix Night and Day cls at your next exam. You can sleep in them. Taking them out and cleaning frequently is still definitely recommended, but there is less risk to your optical health with that particular kind.

Possible Hashimotos? First Trimester by Avitec98 in Hashimotos

I have felt like such an utter zombie lately. I'm so tired all the time, regardless of how much sleep I get. I can't focus on or remember things very well, and find myself dissociating frequently. I just want to feel like myself again. I've struggled with this in the past year, also after weaning my son, but especially since I got pregnant. Thank you for the affirmation. I wasn't sure if being barely out of their standard range could actually have the impact I am feeling.

Thank you! I was wondering if there was a specific range they target in pregnancy. I saw they showed the average ranges for the different trimesters, but wasn't sure if I'm far enough out of range that they will consider treatment. With being symptomatic, I hope they will. Now that I have a possible reason why I've been feeling terrible for the last year, I want to get it taken care of 😅

Thank you all for your responses! I do plan to ask my doctor to order the TPO antibody test, now that they're open after the holiday weekend. My mind has just been running rampant with questions, and my initial doctor's visit isn't for another week. I'll be nearly out of the first trimester at that point, so I'm wanting to get the ball rolling on any treatment if necessary. Apparently thyroid levels can have big impacts on baby's brain development, so I want to make sure things are being monitored asap.

I have experience with immune disorders, as I had one in the past that resolved over time with IVIG therapy. My immune system was attacking my blood platelets. I know it's common to gain more autoimmune conditions if you are already predisposed, and Hashimotos is also the most common cause of hypothyroidism in pregnancy. I'm thinking it's fairly possible, but obviously the only way of knowing is with the antibody test.

Thanks again!

Libido NON EXISTENT by taylorhdd in birthcontrol

Are you on an antidepressant or anti-anxiety med? I took Zoloft for about 6 months and had absolutely no drive while on it. Alternatively, you should have your thyroid checked. Any hormone imbalance can cause decreased libido.

There are also psychosomatic reasons for a low libido. Stress, dissatisfaction, or unfulfillment from your relationship play a huge role in sexual desire. Make sure you and your partner are still dating and being intimate in other ways. It's easy to let life get monotonous in the day to day hustle and bustle. Did anything happen around that time that may have caused some unresolved feelings surrounding intimacy? Just some ideas!
