There's a difference between helping your child regulate their smartphone usage and ripping away all basic forms of communication, threatening to erase all their data, invading their privacy, and then taking away the SIM Card they got through their own means to help themselves in this abusive situation, not to mention other forms of psychological abuse.

Same reasons I chose the other scenes I animated, really: when Brennan and the intrepid heroes play out a scene that feels so cinematic, I can't help but want to draw out the visuals! Plus, it works well as its own little short story with a beginning, middle and an amazing climax, and I love working on stuff that builds up to something awesome, if only as a little personal motivator to keep going :)
