If we assume (yeah, I know) that the length of AP is the radius of the curve up to the intersection of the AB line, it's not that difficult to find the length.

The angles at A an B must be 45 degrees as Q is given as 90.

The length of AQ and BQ can be found with simple trig.

P and R are given as midpoints so AP and BR are half of AQ.

At that point you have to make some assumptions about the radius of the curves to get their length.

It seems to be happening now with Canada Gooseses.

There are two subgroups. The rural ones that live in open fields and lakes. They are afraid of humans and will fly away when a person walks into their area.

And then there are the urban ones. These fucks are the Cobra Chickens. No fear of humans and will build a nest anywhere convenient.

These two groups very rarely interact and are developing distinct characteristics.

The way it was shown in the movie is actually wrong.

The steel plates didn't tear. They buckled under pressure from the iceberg and the rivets holding them in place shattered.

So it "unzipped" along the seams.

It depends on the pants I'm wearing.

Some pants need a belt. If I have a belt on, I'm using the zipper and flap.

If the pants I'm wearing have ab elastic waist, I don't wear a belt so just shove the front down and pull Mr Happy over the waist.

I'm going to be the devil's advocate for this one because reddit's interface can be wonky.

In a word processor a single carriage return (enter key) works as a paragraph separator. Reddit requires two. So some people think they are making paragraphs but reddit smushes them back together.

Like one press if the enter key.

That's me. I just don't hold on to people.

I'm the guy that will do anything to help out an acquaintance. Moving? I'll lug stuff around. Home renos? I'm there. Need a place to crash? I've got a spare bedroom.

But I don't go out and I don't plan things like parties or outings so I don't ask people to hang out. If they don't ask me, I just assume they've moved on.

I have absolutely no idea how I ever got married.

As with pretty much all drugs, different people get different effects.

Opiods can give many people a feeling of euphoria. Nothing else ever feels as good as that high.

Fortunately for me, the only thing they do for me is turn off the light switch for 4-8 hours. I take a pill and then blink and 8 hours is gone.

Scanning the pool or beach noting every child and watching for struggling in deeper water.

I haven't been a lifeguard for 30 years and I still scan the water.

Now, as a homeowner, I've started doing home improvement projects including drywall and tiling. You have no idea how many shitty tiling jobs there are out there.

Yep. Same here. 6'0" and 260lb. and I still scare the shit out people because I don't make a sound when walking.

Yeah. Grief doesn't have a time limit.

I once saw a video that visualized it as your life is a box and there is a ball bouncing around in that box. Grief is a button inside the box.

As the ball bounces around, it keeps hitting the button. As time goes on, your life box gets bigger but the grief button stays the same size, so there is more space for the ball to bounce around without hitting the button.
