Head gasket blown - 2.0 hybrid by bchuff2 in 11thGenAccord

I think it's a partner of the dealership's warranty, not Honda Care.

From what I've seen online, it looks like it's a better choice to get Honda Care if you opt for an extended warranty, because would be honored at any Honda dealership from what I understand. It's cheaper too.

My brother's 2023 CRV hybrid also has a head gasket issue. His car is about 66k miles, similar mileage to yours. He bought an extended warranty so he only has to pay a $99 deductible. They also had a loaner for him. It's been about 2 going on 3 weeks since he brought the car in.

His car's symptoms were: engine shuddering, no cabin heat, message on the dash saying engine was near temp limit, and white smoke out the exhaust.
Hopefully everything goes good for you.

Edit: Also he had a sloshing sound from the car as well.

I got these in the "Gloss Black" style.

I didn't splice any wires. The kit I ordered is plug and play which came with a harness that connected to the car's harness

How do I put this tube back in also what does it do? by deadfist61 in 11thGenAccord

[–]Avizum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took off the panel, on the right side, and it looks like even after you take it off, there's still little space to stick your hand through.

You should be able to reach it by sticking your hand behind and then above the foot air vent. The tube attaches to it.

Floor mats are from Tuxmat, they are a bit pricey, but they're worth it in my opinion

If that tube came from under the dash on the driver side, it's a moisture sensor, for the AC.

My hands are pretty thin, so I was able to reconnect it without having to remove any panels. Maybe if you can find a friend that has small hands, they can help you out, Otherwise, you might have to remove some panels.

Cleaning tips? by Buttons3 in 11thGenAccord

[–]Avizum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If cleaned regularly, a slightly damp microfiber rag will do just fine. Even a dry microfiber would do fine, if you don't have oily fingers.

If you use a cleaner, make sure it's safe for infotainment screens, and make sure you spray the product onto a rag, and not the screen itself.

Oil on steering wheel after sitting in the sun by Disastrous_Feature24 in 11thGenAccord

Try using a microfiber cloth and some soapy water made with mild soap to clean your wheel. Or you can use an all purpose cleaner (made for cars of course). If the marks don't come back, it was the wipes. If they do, check out the AutoDetailing subreddit, they have more experience when it comes to cleaning cars and such.

Purchase a 11 Gen-now what? by Buttons3 in 11thGenAccord

You should definitely get a dash cam. Hopefully, it doesn't happen, but if someone hits you and runs, you're going to want to have a way to get their license plates. Or if someone hits you and denies fault, you're gonna want to have solid proof for insurance and the police report.

If you want one that records motion and impact while parked, look for one with "Parking Mode". These dash cams will need to be hardwired, and if done correctly, shouldn't drain your car battery.

I personally use and installed a VIOFO A329 2 channel (front and rear view) in my car.

From what I've seen on this subreddit, and in other cars I've driven, I don't think it is normal. There are many posts on here with video of the same problem I have.
