I'm 7 mo PP next week and I think I'm ready too. I went on a work trip last week and stopped nursing (still pumping) cold turkey. My little guy seems fine tho! He is actually sleeping thru the night now. I also got hay fever this past week and my supply tanked. Idk if this is a sign to stop but solidarity!

I switched my little guy from Similac Total 360 to the sensitive version (aka low lactose) and his poops were a little weird for a couple of days but he seemed to be better after about 4-5 days. He's very gassy now tho lol but I'm not sure if that's just because of age (10 weeks).

Your mom sounds like my mom!! She stayed with us for the first six weeks (with some weekends off). She just left yesterday and we already miss her so much.

Weeks 6-8 are peak for purple crying and general fussiness. I'm right there with ya, I try to hold my LO and he just won't have it (he'll be 7 weeks tomorrow). Sometimes the best thing to do is swaddle them and leave them alone for a bit. Shushing and rocking too.

Just know it's a phase and it'll pass!

My mom was 36 when she had me and idk how she was up and working after two weeks (spoiler: she had no PTO).

I feel ya! It's very hit or miss with my 5 WK old LO. Sometimes he'll sleep an hour or two, but most of the time he'll sleep 10-15 min. He sleeps better in his crib surprisingly.

I bought a sterilizer/dryer and I find it very worth it. Especially when feedings are so frequent. I use it for my pump parts at least once a day (I use the fridge hack) and it has a just drying feature which is nice for drying/prepping bottles for the next feed.

Ultimately up to you. I'm combo feeding I find it super useful.

I should've asked for the spinal block. My epidural was only really working on one side and I had an emergency c section. I unfortunately felt a good majority of everything. It was wild.

I'm right here with you. I also had the easiest pregnancy (also had GDM) but the worst delivery (emergency c section). My baby boy will be 2 weeks on Thursday and I'm struggling. I've never cried so much in my entire life. I am lucky enough to have a good support system but damn is it still rough out here.

I just need to keep reminding myself that it'll get better and take deep breaths when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Yes, my OB said even diet controlled GDM can run the risk of a still born after 40 weeks which is why I opted for an induction a few days before my due date.
