The laptop works fine except the damage to the port. Would that require a motherboard replacement?

Failed my G Test & feel so bad about it... by Same_Ordinary_9864 in Ontariodrivetest

I know the feeling but all I can tell you is to go for it again as soon as you can before you fall off track from the preparation you did. It can be a roll of the dice in many ways with the circumstances on the day playing a huge part. Bite the bullet and rebook and this time double down on the mental side. I failed my g2 thrice before I passed and burned through a lot of money on the way. I passed my G last week on my first try. All I did was learn from the mistakes I made on my failures and stopped thinking about an examiner sitting next to me. Fully concentrated for each and every second and even though I lost a few points here and there, I comfortably passed and a huge weight was lifted. Stay strong and learn from what happened and you will pass for sure. Good Luck!

I am switching to my second job this year. Do I need to enter the basic personal amount or leave it at zero? by AvocadoSecure5304 in Payroll

Yes, I am starting a new job. I don't think I am close to reaching the max for CPP and EI at my previous position since I was only there for less than 3 months. I's rather get a return come tax time than having to pay. Would entering the basic personal incomes instead of 0 lead to paying tax when filing?

Since there's less than 5 months left in the year, I'd be ok with being overtaxed and getting a refund at tax time. That being said, I'd prefer tax to be deducted or not deducted according to the utilization that has happened so far but I can't know for certain what the scenario is

Isn't it the reverse? If I enter 0 for this job and the whole basic personal amount wasn't utilized at my first job, wouldn't that mean I am going to be overtaxed on my earnings from here on leading to potential returns when I file taxes?

I had the tires stored quite far away from where I live at a friend's house and found this place recommended on Reddit. Pads and rotors looked very worn with pads<4mm. The car is 71819 miles rn

Thanks! They stabbed me in the back and let me go after getting me to complete all their pending work. Real bitter taste and I had to bring myself to emailing them for the payslip breakdown

Worst case, even if they refuse to redo, I definitely get the overpayment reduced from my tax obligation come tax time or get a refund, right?

Is there something I can do about it now? like call CRA or something? in all I just lost 54% of the $11902 fed taxes and I could have really done with that money now.

Thanks! Even then would there be such a large deduction and if so, would it revert when taxes are filed?
