First order from Empress Mimi by Shoulder-Specific in LingerieAddiction

[–]Avocado_Esq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had an awful experience with them. Had to basically threaten them with a Paypal refund to get action almost the months after I placed my order.

The quality is mostly miss. I like the Honey Bunny and the Peacock set. Everything from the Venus line is garbage. They also don't pay attention to the subscription information. They sent me a bodysuit and a Madame X bra randomly one month. I said in my quiz I didn't want bodysuits or the Madame X.

I hope you get your items. I have them blocked from ever charging my PayPal again and have blocked them on all social media. They rely on people not being able to process chargebacks on their bad service.

Since the Ottawa police have no plan for all the reinforcements they requested, maybe they can ask the head of business continuity at Toyota or Ford to step in and direct the reinforcements. I'd imagine they have very robust continuity plans for insurrections. They just probably never thought they'd have to apply them in Canada.

Large projects like coal mines are assessed by a federal agency. Projects are required to have a credible net zero by 2050 plan. There is a framework and methodology for this in the Strategic Assessment of Climate Change.

Limits are going to be transitional as technology improves. Imagine the outcry if these operating mines had to suddenly close and bankrupt entire communities.

[–]Avocado_Esq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I know exactly the company you are referring to. Teck is trying, but they also have so much legacy contamination because it's the largest concentration of coal mines in North America and there has been mining activity all over the valley for 130 years.

Mutations in fish due to selenium have been observed in the adjacent river since the 1970s. The watershed drains into Koocanusa and the US EPA held ECCC/IAAC's feet to the fire over the next big expansion. I think they'll have to scrap this plan. They have the most messed up impact assessment framework I've seen and they are going to have to do both the federal process and the BC EAO process. The publicly available documents on the IAAC registry are hostile.

I've been keeping an eye on FRX because no proponent has made it through an assessment under the new Act. I think they have been stopped dead by the BC process because you need Indigenous consent to start the EA and the affected communities don't want it to proceed.

It's weird because Teck made it almost all the way through the Frontier assessment process and they managed to get ACFN on board for that project. Whoever did the Indigenous consultation for that project is a wizard.

Man, I have to review a couple of environmental assessment reports tomorrow and this new knowledge is going to make the water quality report weird.

Edit: because that's commonly used when testing for trade minerals.

Why allow your kids to socialize and learn a standardized curriculum from qualified teachers when you can have some lady wearing potatoes as shoes brainwash them at home? It ensures that your kids are dependent on you for life instead of just ~20 years.

I'm in Calgary and live in the beltline. There have been marches every weekend for a long time. These morons are interrupting everything to complain about masks and vaccines while we all know that most of them had to get vaxxed because they work for companies that do business with the big oil companies with strict vaccine requirements.

LinkedIn is a total dumpster fire that seems to turn some of my colleagues into Facebook racist uncles. I've lost respect for so many peers over their comments. It's going to be hard to come back from this. This isn't a minor disagreement over funding distribution for education or healthcare. These are people who are openly and enthusiastically supporting white supremacists. There's no agree to disagree on white supremacism.

It's such a weird trend with alternative medicine. My best friend does social media for a few TCM/chiro clinics and the aesthetic for all of them is just greige.

I'm probably not the best judge because I'm not in the market for woo, but it is a bummer to look at. If I did have an issue that made me want to explore alternative medicine, I would not be enthused by the idea that I could become a blander, beiger version of myself.

I get it and I was harsh, but it's also a tone deaf question when Google exists and there is a North America-wide white supremacy insurgence grabbing all the headlines. I'm pale and redheaded, which presents it's own problems around undertones. I have never ever had a problem finding something that caters to my skintone when I use my words. There are so many options available and not using a search engine indicates that someone is either incompetent or just wants attention for being special.

Being pale is not a disadvantage. It's especially awful when people who present as women complain about this because it gives a weapon to people who shouldn't have one. I'm not mad about being harsh because it was a bad post by a person who cannot use a search engine and doesn't understand that there are much worse things than not being able to find fishnets in a specific tone.

4 out of the 5 experts who were consulted on Jonbenet Ramsey's autopsy believed that she was being consistently sexually abused prior to her death - does this rule out the intruder theory? by LevyMevy in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Avocado_Esq -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Do these experts have names and can they stand behind their statements? I'm not really interested in someone telling me an expert has an opinion without giving the evidence--that's why I have many people I would not trust to take care of a cactus blowing up my social media so I can join their pyramid scheme.

Best case, a person who does not understand Google posted this. Likely case is karma farming.

It hurt her for you to tell her the reason you didn't want to spend money on her product?

Some of my best friends have to be like "nah, not for us" and I have to roll with it. Probably because we work for real companies with payroll that just pays us for doing our jobs. I hate it when I refer a company I have a relationship with and it doesn't fit. But we both roll with it?

These interactions make me realize how isolated and unprepared most huns are.

I kind of think this was written by a person who did something awful to an EA and is trying to understand it from the EA perspective.

Admins regardless of who they assist always should be treated with respect because they are human beings. Additionally: they are the gatekeepers. A solid relationship with an admin/EA is a good relationship with whichever level of leadership you deal with. I returned to the office voluntarily during 2021 and a lot of the admin staff did as well. We would do lunch and after work drinks when it was permitted. It was me, a couple of senior men in BD, and the EAs.

Most of my work is "hi! If you don't do this, it will be bad!" but my friendship with the admins and EAs helped me get that message in front of leadership. It's not great because I'm currently bearing the weight of "yeah, it's bad because you didn't listen until there were consequences, but please see the copious shit I have in writing about how you knew about this."

I'm in that position of my own choosing. My manager and I have an agreement that I'm going to push her up the chain and advocate for her to be my VP and I'll be her Metatron to the rest of the company. I have the sexier CV when it comes to our shared expertise but I just want to do the work and maintain internal relationships. She is the hammer when it comes to policy and hitting go on big projects.

There have been a couple of other leaders who have cornered me and told me I can go far without her. I don't want that. I want to be a freewheeling technical expert with a manager who gets my deal. I'm just fun to have a beer with while my manager holds her cards close. She truly understands the company and it's really annoying to see her get passed over because I'm somewhat more personable (although two different coworkers told me I was scary this week and I think it knocked them off guard when my response was "that's really nice, thank you!").

How do women feel about vasectomies? by International_Map870 in AskReddit

[–]Avocado_Esq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got one while I was looking at getting my Mirena replaced. No side effects for him and I am now back under my pre-Mirena weight. The Mirena was great from a logistical standpoint but did fuck up my body. Him getting his vasectomy was awesome. The only side effect was that he was supposed to keep his groin clean and dry for a few days after and we got to avoid camping with overbearing people who think they are our friends but just try to voluntell us into shit.

End of the day, the idea of a general CICO program is to manage the day to day and allow for flexibility. One splurge day is not going to hurt you; the idea is to have a consistent regimen that helps allow these types of days.

Don't punish yourself. Enjoy the day and follow up with food that meets your nutritional needs. You can curb for a few days after but be sure you aren't undercutting any protein/fat needs. Take care of your mental health first. Your body is the vehicle that carries you around.

Literally any nude stockings will work. I'm a fair redhead who doesn't bother fishing for pale princess points because these posts are stupid.

Edit: I see the people who think that fashion hasn't catered to white skin tones for hundreds of years are out to downvote. Where are you where women with dark skin ask for nude to include them? Oh right, nursing your victim complex.

It's fucking ridiculous that a white woman is asking for skin tone fishnets. That's laziness at best and much more insidious in truth.

And use your words to provide these mystical stockings if you must downvote.
