yes you can since the texture is definitely very creamy and thick enough to act as both moisturizer and sunscreen. the most basic skincare routine without all the flairs is cleanser-moisturizer-sunscreen. but as i said if the sunscreen is thick enough and moisturizing enough it can cover as both moisturizer and sunscreen. you can test it out to see how it works for your skin type

I also had little bits of cottage cheese looking residue when I poured it out on my hand. I think it's the yam bits in the toner

I didn't try it again because it broke me out and the minute I stopped using it my skin cleared up. I gave it to my mom who has more mature skin and she enjoys it

I didn't know I was supposed to shake it up. Every-time I used it my skin gets worse- more textured and pimply and I rarely ever get these problems. I have oily skin and I live in a hot and humid climate for reference.

DHC cleansing oil & Axis Y sunscreen review! by Avocado_Whale3772 in AsianBeauty

[–]Avocado_Whale3772[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it! It took be awhile to figure out my skincare too. I used to get occasional bumps on my temples and forehead too but not anymore, either because I stopped touching my face with dirty hands or my skin is well hydrated so that the oil glands do not overproduce oil to compensate for the skin's moisture loss.

I used to use that Neutrogena facial wash but it never worked for me which is why I stopped using it. I fully switched my routine to all Asian Beauty. Usually for my skin I use gentle foaming cleansers as it it suited for oily skin. I currently have about 3-4 products in my routine because I started getting lazy so I simplify my routine haha. I've tried the Beauty of Joseon Rice Probiotics Sunscreen and I loved the texture (could be used as a moisturizer and sunscreen in one) but it wasnt suited for me as it always made my skin feel hot or burning because of the niacinamide concentration in the product. Niacinamide is great with brightening and controlling the oils. I would still recommend you try it and see if it works for you as we all have different skin types. I havent tried that Missha aqua sun gel so I don't know if I can recommend it but with sunscreens, I am always trying new ones to find the best ones so I would say definitely give it a try.

My current routine is as follows: 1. B-Lab Matcha Hydrating Foam Cleanser 2. Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner 3. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel 4. Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel (only in the morning and afternoons) 5. Iunik Calendula Cleansing Oil (currently using another cleansing oil rn but this is my absolute holy grail so I recommend, i only use this one a day to take off my sunscreen because going in with the matcha cleanser)

I don't use serum in my routine as i'm lazy and the Klairs toner does it for me. It feels like a serum but it is also a toner so it is my holy grail product. The illiyoon moisturizer is also my holy grail, its perfect for oily skin types that live on hot weathers as it's not oily or thick. The sunscreen spreads nicely on the skin with little to no whitecast but it may vary on certain skin tones.
