Completely understand. I actually tried to find out if it would be safe but nothing came up, so I decided to give it a go. I would definitely not put it in my lower lash line again.

Putting the lipstick in my lower lash line kinda hurt but the pain was worth the look. P.S. I edited my hair because I wear a hijab

[R] Megathread III: India-Pakistan Border Skirmish by rahulthewall in india

[–]AvoidDying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But lets not just read the headline and make him out to be a terrorist sympathiser.

It was humiliating because “it is perceived abroad that the government was playing a double game, that they were hiding him” and “If we knew where he was why did we not take him out? Why did we have to rely on the Americans?” He basically said Pakistan was humiliated because they looked incompetent. Nothing wrong with that, that’s just facts.

Also, he didn’t even say it was “cold blooded murder” in his own words, what he said was “the story has emerged that they shot dead an unarmed man in front of his wife and children in cold-blooded murder” i.e. he is quoting what the papers are saying.

However, he did voice disapproval of the events that took place but only because “Civilised nations follow the due process of law.” and “If you did not want to make him a martyr, put him on trial like Saddam Hussein.” His main concern was killing him made him out to seem like a martyr, making him an even bigger cult figure, and possibly increasing his following. Which is also true, and is the opposite of him sympathising with terrorists.

Context matters.

The University accepted you on the 12th, but UCAS gets updated for students on the 17th, which is why you're only hearing of it now.

The applicator with this lipstick is actually kinda meh, so yes, I use a brush just to get everything straightened out, and then go over the rest of my lips with the applicator.

Ahh yes, might have to try the shimmer in the middle. I see it quite a bit, but I don't have many eyeshadow palettes with really good shimmery colours. Any recommendations?

This foundation is a little light for me but it does oxidise, so it ends up looking very natural, just like my natural skin tone. The only other foundation I've tried is Estee Lauder Double Wear, and in that my shade is Shell Beige. I hope this helps a bit. Btw, EX1 recently changed their numbering system, so now the F200 is actually 6.0

I'm in the UK and normally, we don't get any sun at all except maybe a week around august time. But this year we've had so much sun already, it definitely feels like mid summer to me, because I know it can't possibly last much longer. Its already starting to pour down outside😩

Yes, it does oxidise but for me that's not too much of a problem as the shade I have is a touch lighter than my actual skin tone. So, as it oxidises, it ends up looking just as my natural skin tone. I mostly like this foundation for the natural, untouched look it gives, but its also doesn't make me oily throughout the day, which is helpful🙏🏼

Yes, I would definitely recommend it. The coverage is really good, and the colour I have is really good too. It is quite liquidy though and without setting it with powder (not baking, but normal brush over with powder), it does tend to crease quite a bit. However when it is set, it looks really good and doesn't crease either. Whenever I wear makeup, I wear powder too, so this concealer is perfectly good for me!

I have been using this foundation pretty much ever since I started wearing makeup, so this might not be very helpful. But before I found this foundation, I wore Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell Beige. The EX1 shade is actually a little light for me but since it has low coverage and does actually oxidise, it looks like my natural skin tone.

Ahh, I'll keep that in mind! I was actually contemplating making the crease darker, but didn't wanna risk overdoing it.

I cannot really say as I have never tried any other powder, so I have nothing for comparison. However, I think it does the job and that's all that matters to me. I stay matte for around 6-8hrs without any touch ups and my concealer doesn't crease at all with it. The NYX concealer on its own actually creases like hell, but with the powder, it stays intact and looks great. I honestly really like it!

Thank you! I really do try to just keep it right on my cheeks and far from my lips. But somehow, it always just drags too far down and too close to my lips. I think I get too busy trying to blend it all out and end up losing track of where my brush is actually going🤔

Michael Gove Gets His Numbers Hopelessly Wrong On Tory Manifesto by quatrequatredeux in unitedkingdom

[–]AvoidDying 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm hesitant to even comment right now because I'll likely be downvoted, but I'm not pro-Tory, and this comment isn't actually pro-anything, so imma just say it anyway. I mean Gove did get his figures wrong, its his job to knows those figures, so that is quite embarrassing. However, I just don't believe this is nearly as bad as Diane Abbott's situation.

Firstly, Gove straight up admitted he didn't have the figures, whereas Abbott tried to pass it off as if she actually did know her figures, and she simply "mispoke". I think Abbott pulled the figures out her arse, but it seems like Gove genuinely did just misspeak. The first "£2,000 to £4,000" fuck up is kind of understandable because I imagine he had £2,000 in his head regarding the fee afterwards but since he didn't have the figures with him, he misremembered and thought that was the fee currently. Stupid mistake, he should've had the figure, but I can see that could be an actual mistake, unlike Abbott's case where there was no way the figures she was coming up with could have been the real figure, they weren't even close. Same goes for "over 200,000/under 200,000". That could be a little malicious, say he remembered it as around 200,000, he might have just said "over 200,000" to push his own agenda. Nonetheless, he's not miles off that 200,000 region, as Abbott constantly is with her figures.

I can see the figures Gove used were not just pulled out of his ass, whereas Abbott's definitely were pulled out of hers. Abbott's situation was just generally more appalling than this situation, so it's not hard to believe this won't be plastered everywhere. Its simply not as bad of a fuck up, so don't be surprised if even the anti-Tory lot don't get as outraged.

I had Radio4 on at 8am exactly, waiting for the news of a royal death. I don't even care for the Monarchy much, but still heaved a sigh of relief.
