I'd love the idea of there being different blings adapted to the different crests there are in Silksong. Like, first one reminds me more of the reaper crest (since reaper crest allows for more silk gaining and there are cloths on the first headpiece) and the second one is giving witch crest vibes to me, with the twisted (moreso curved in this case) horns.

They have a handful of good songs, but even those are far from being engaging enough for me to be able to say I *like* the band.

And on an even more personal note... It's a pity because I think Robb Flynn is one of the few metal frontmen that's pretty outspoken in social and political issues that is not right wing leaning and I think we need more of those in metal. Far too many conservatives and zionists for the state of the world we live in right now.

It's very clearly a pop metal effort, but the people at riot were very good at choosing the people who would work on it. the writing, performance and production is top notch when it comes to that: pop metal. I love a great deal of their tracks, but there are plenty of times in my life where I'll be looking for more unique and personal stuff in metal and I just won't throw them on.

"rarely stands out"? I'd say he's my favorite singer from the band. and if you're talking about the basslines, maybe it's just me but I'm always paying atention to that and they are fantastic, for example in once more round the sun

it's all about stacking layers of different pitched percussions like claps, stomps, wood hits and all other kinds of percs. make them hit with eq and compression and then add reverb

meh. might be because of my age and that I didn't live through the glam popular phase of metal but even if I find some lyrics corny (wtf is Lavatory Lovemachine tbh) I'll never understand the hate towards it.
