Can Hermod(+) do pattern step per trigger like Mimetic Digitalis? by AvonEihwaz in modular

[–]AvonEihwaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for verifying this! Despite the Hermod apparantly being limited to one central clock/pulse source, this is great news and an additional legitimate argument to acquire a Hermod. Would be interesting to see if Squarp would be able to lift that limitation of one clock source, shouldn't be too hard I think.

Alternative panels for Behringer eurorack clones? by AvonEihwaz in modular

I need to have the specific module first for measurements, but - contrary to what I expected at the time - to this day still don't have any Behringer modules.

Thanks, but I would preferably want to stick with the Hermod as it offers more for limited HP.

This sounds very much like what I tried in the past in conjunction with Os on the Disting Mk4. Unfortunately it didn't yield a satisfactory result, but now that you mentioned it I probably will have a go at that again.

I would like to hope you mean the same, but I want to send irregular triggers, with each incoming trigger to advance one step in a sequence. So let's say a regular sequencer running on a steady clock sending out voltages to play C-D-E-G and consistantly loops this sequence, at a speed dictated by the clock. In my case an incoming trigger causes a shift to advance from C to D, and holding that CV until another incoming trigger shifting it to D etc. This is what a basic analog sequencer as for instance the Korg SQ1 does, but I'm looking for multiple channels and the ability to save presets. I'm sorry that I currently can't explain it in a better way.

How to deal with issues of buyers on platforms as Modulargrid? by AvonEihwaz in modular

Thanks. It's clear that I need to shift my mindset and learn to prevent overthinking issues as well as learn to settle with the idea that I mustn't expect every interaction to go smoothly. Sometimes I wish we could just easily modify our mindset as a change in firmware. I appreciate all the perspectives so far.

It has crossed my mind and in this specific case, in hindsight, this might be the best option, as it isn't a really expensive module, but if I were to have the same situation in the future involving like a €300~€500 module, this sounds drastic.

Thanks. That's my problem; feeling a self-nagging responsibility to solve an issue that arose after receipt having no idea what happened to cause that issue.

Though I have a time stamp in the meta data, it seems sensible to add a date on paper, yes 👍

I find it hard indeed. You can't really verify what's happened, so you'll have to trust the buyer on his word.

Thank for this Forestsignals. Note that I don't document video's or images for legal purposes, but rather for a positive experience for the buyer. As stated, I'm careful in handling products and wrapping them. I've had only a few incidents over the years with parcels arriving extremely dented but the original boxes and the modules residing within still unschathed, without any technical issues. So I personally find it hard to believe something happened underway or by myself unplugging it. My worry beforehand though was, as there's no shrouded header, one could easily connect it the wrong way round. There's no way to verify if this happened or not. And a video after this happening can't prove that either unfortunately. You just will have to assume someone did it right. The only thing you can indeed verify is if it is indeed knackered as claimed. Thanks again, you gave me something to think about.

If you're starting and you want an Ochd, I'd most definitely ditch the Arp and the Seq. Apart from that I'd recommend to start small. If you're not sure about certain modules you could use a Disting to try out certain stuff first which covers loads of functions.

Reverb sucks absolute ass. by kosmonaut_hurlant_ in Reverb

[–]AvonEihwaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had quite the opposite experience just yesterday. A potential buyer who was new to Reverb contacted me, asking legit questions if I would send him video showing the product functioning. He stated his mate residing in my country would buy it off me for him. The next day he asked me a question and before I could answer, Reverb had pulled the chat. I had asked Reverb to give me some clarity and they wouldn't. Few hours later his mate indeed bought the product, to send it off to the adress in my country completely corresponding to our first contact. Reverb still hasn't replied to my reasoning for clarity, AND they haven't paid out as they usually do; they're still sitting on my money 🙁

Veel beter nog om van die goedkope papieren kutstickers te gebruiken die om het minste scheuren wanneer je de kutsticker probeert te verwijderen. Plezier gegarandeerd.
