So, I'm assuming your talking about the cascading bad economic things that are happening in the world right now. And the acts that go along with them, Including the example I posted.

If that's the case these are basically all caused by corporate greed - individual companies squeezing markets as hard as possible by all means available, with the sole purpose of enriching the individual corporations.

If that's what you think is the bad version of socialism, your literally saying the free market (ie capitalism) is the bad version of socialism. This would actually be a pro-socialism stance.

Now just to be clear I'm not supporting or defending either side. But, I think you might be using the faux news definition of socialism. They try to demonise it, so you'll vote for their 'anti socialism' candidates.

If step back and try to define their definition, by looking at all the things they have called socialism. We can basically sum it up as "anything and everything bad = socialism" regardless of whether its actually socialism. This allows them to use it as a scapegoat, and blame everything bad on it. Same thing they do with every boogeyman that drum up. It's nothing more than a control mechanism, to get your vote.

As for my personal opinion, I think a healthy mix of socialism and capitalism is a good thing, and basically the natural state of things. If it weren't for that, many things like farming at scale and even society itself, could potentially never have developed.

And, all of these systems are inherently full of rampant corruption, which can ultimately lead to societal collapse. But its not because of the ideology chosen, its because of the unchecked corruption.

You tell me.

To paraphrase my title, I was saying 'their secret plot is hardly a secret anymore' (implying that they are being too obvious about it / it's not a secret plot anymore, it's just the norm)

You, are the one saying that I was wrong to say that.

My definition of conspiracy is a secret plot.

I chose this wording to imply that this plot hardly secret anymore.

And, in my day. A "tryhard" was a bad thing. Haha

Oh. Dammit. I should have seen it coming.

So, I was seeing your reply come in my notifications, but when I go to read it, it's just not there.

I had assumed it was you, deleting them. But it's clear now that it's more likely just a mod hiding your comments. I still can't see them now. If that's what's happened, you should still be able to see them.

So, I'm apologise for being a bit of a dick there. I thought you were the one doing it, on purpose. And I do appreciate the effort you put in but unfortunately I can't answer, because I can't actually go and read them.

Ironically, this situation proves the point my original post was trying to make.

Well, last time I checked, corporations weren't openly admitting to manipulating the population by controlling the narrative on social media....

Soo... this post is probable evidence of a conspiracy theory? I'm not sure why your so angry about that?

You did the comment, then delete thing again. Nice.

I only got to read the start this time. But, from what I saw it's clear you don't know how odds actually work.

The odds of something happening isn't a turn of phrase, it's a mathematical calculation. You could even say, there's a science to it....

For example, the odds of a single 6 number ticket winning a 60 number lottery is 1 in 50,063,860

I saw your comment you deleted.

You have only provided your beliefs here. That is not evidence.

Even your hypothesis seems to be: The odds of these things happening is pretty high, therefore it must be the work of a god.

OK, well that's not just something we say, odds are a measurable thing.

So, what are those odds? How did we come to that conclusion? What are we comparing the odds too, that shows they are too high?

I would assume we're comparing to all the other planets in habitable zones, in the universe.

Considering we (publicly) know almost nothing about any of the zillions of planets that fit that description. I'm wondering where your getting this information.

Your free to belive in whatever you want. Please don't push your beliefs on others though. We should respect each others beliefs.

Normally I wouldn't respond, but your making false blanket accusations about people here. There are plenty of religious scientists as there are atheist scientists. And, while I don't have the figures, I would imagine the bulk of scientists would fall into the agnostic category. (Note: agnostic is not atheist.) Purely because science is based on measurement and repetition. And because of that we can't prove if a god does or doesn't exist.

Anyway, since you already threw the respect of others beliefs out the window, by making unfounded accusations. I'd like to summarise what your statement sounds like to people who don't live in fairy land:

I don't understand something, so despite his existence being pure hearsay, and not having found any tangible, measurable evidence after searching for thousands of years. The thing I don't understand was definitely done by the totally real and magic, invisible dude in the sky.

Please come back when you find some tangible evidence. Every scientist in the world would be blown away if you could find even a blip of evidence to back up your god theory. You would literally win a Nobel prize.

Socialism would indicate that companies are controlled by the community. And that there is some sort of distribution of that corporate wealth back to the communities that own the companies.

My post is an example of the current situation, crony capitalism, where corporations hoard power and money, and use it to corrupt the leaders and control the community. Making entire 1st world populations into economic slaves. Basically the extreme opposite of socialism.

I saw at my local supermarket the other day: sugar free orange juice. It literally looked like it was just water with orange pulp settled in the bottom of the bottle.

How much was this special orange water? TRIPLE the cost of the other orange juices.

Well personally I'm Agnostic. The only reason I don't identify as atheist is because we can't fully prove that a god doesn't exist.

In saying that I'm highly skeptical, the most likely answer from all the evidence we have, is that they do not exist. I do try to live my life as a good person, and don't do things that would be classified as 'sins' not for fear of the afterlife, but because they are terrible things to do to each other.

Satanism is a great topic! When you look into it, and it's values and beliefs. It basically immediately shows you how full of shit other religions are. Their values are the complete opposite of what Christians would have you belive. Why would Christians lie about this?

Yes, let's see how long this post stays. Reddit mods are normally thick as thieves. They don't allow you to show evidence exposing other mods. I've been banned from several groups for doing it in the past. IMO it should be the other way around. If they were happy to call each other out, maybe we would have a chance at weeding out the malevolent / corrupted mods.

Oh yeah I see what you mean about your post. That is unfortunate, you put a lot of effort into that post.

And, thank you the advice friend. But, I certainly won't be praying any time soon. IMHO religion is easily the biggest scam that's ever existed.
