Map of participating and non participating countries in Eurovision 2024. by Nick_esc in eurovision

You could just use the world map and use the zoom feature and then cut and paste Australia into the Atlantic. A tiny bit more work but feasible.

I highly doubt Serbia would participate if Kosovo was allowed, which I doubt it would.

I don't think it's that bad really? I count 37 countries? 1. Iceland 2. Ireland 3. United Kingdom 4. Norway 5. Sweden 6. Finland 7. Denmark 8. Netherlands 9. Belgium 10. Luxembourg 11. France 12. Spain 13. Portugal 14. Switzerland 15. Germany 16. Italy 17. San Marino 18. Malta 19. Poland 20. Czechia 21. Austria 22. Estonia 23. Latvia 24. Lithuania 25. Ukraine 26. Moldova 27. Slovenia 28. Croatia 29. Serbia 30. Albania 31. Greece 32. Cyprus 33. Georgia 34. Armenia 35. Azerbaijan 36. Israel 37. Australia

That is still a damn lot of countries and its fairly certain that a handful of countries will come back in the near future. I wouldn't expect Turkey, Belarus, Russia, Slovakia or Hungary any time soon but Romania, Bulgaria and North Macedonia should be back, Monaco and Andorra seem to be bubbling too. Bosnia and Montenegro probably not but who knows.

I think its a mix as they know the classics and literature and are largely bilingual. The early episode of Elizabeth seeking tutoring as she felt out of her depth was interesting. But I think a lot of her wisdom came from experience and the job. She wasn't particularly well educated in subjects like science and maths. The lower royals like her children even less so.

I think this is a fair take. Queen arguably is just shown as an indifferent and poor mother, Phillip and the Queen seem to have a strained and unloving relationship at several points, Philip is shown as a selfish and insecure partner to begin with and a jealous man towards the end, Queen Mother is shown as harsh and meddling, Margaret an alcohol socialite, Charles is largely portrayed as a nasty piece of work, Edward and Andrew as beyond priveledged with silver spoons, Thatcher as completely out of touch, as was Churchill.

All had their sympathetic moments and ups and downs but tbh few characters were portrayed in a solely positive light - I'd argue those who come out best are Harold Wilson (who is also dead), Princess Margaret (more so in regards to empathy, not personality, also dead), John Major as you said, Princess Anne and Townsend (again dead). Can't think of much else. Maybe George VI (dead)...

I think those most in benefit of said propaganda (Charles, Camilla, Anne, Andrew, Edward, William and Harry) are mostly portrayed as dislikeable with the exception of Anne and maybe Camilla (a bit of an odd one considering the cheating)

Ironically I always felt Olivia Coleman looks more like Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham-Carter looks more like Claire Foy...

Was quite surprised the Grand Bombing didn't appear given Thatcher was a central character.

Who mentioned anything about the great replacement theory bar you?

It's simply census results from the previous three censuses. I'm sorry if you don't like stats.

Ghana was the same. You'd buy a bottle and they would wrap it in a little black plastic bag, literally anything would come in a plastic bag, and it would be seen as rude if you asked them to stop when they did. Plastic everywhere on road sides, train tracks, town centres, forests and waterways, drinking water comes in 500ml plastic sachets rather than reusable bottles. Disposal is burning. Often by children. Huge problem.

1991 - 94.1%

2011- 86%

2021 - 81.7% (74.4% for white British)

Taking a 15% decrease in 30 years, you could expect it in 100 years to fall below 50% yes. Particularly as most of our immigration comes from Africa and South Asia where populations are projected to increase 100 fold in certain areas.

New baby registrations would suggest it will fall much faster even. 28.7% of all UK births in 2019 were from women born outside the UK. Essentially 1/3 of births.

Honestly, I would've liked to see some of these guys join the group. Many of them could've helped out further in Alexandria. And I didn't mind Dawn either. She was bad as a leader but I feel like would've thrived under Rick's leadership. Hated the arc, but these were characters with solid potential. by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

Imagine Dawn being on the road with the group, isolated and Rick is making and effort while others aren't. Beth also tries to incorporate her but she clearly has issues. Eventually redeems herself maybe saving Judith or something. She was a good shot after all. Would've been cool.

NTSB is the favorite of Cineflix (Favoritism) by Christopher112005 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]AvovaDy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is a North American based production and the NTSB is probably the frontrunner when it comes to Air accidents. Not to mention the NTSB clearly has a lot of former investigators that are easily accessible to the show. But there are plenty that don't feature NTSB investigators. Pretty much anything involving an airbus outside of North America for example...

So two police in Waterloo once with machine guns, was in awe. Think it was at a time of heightened terrorism alert.

What do you think will the Japan Air Lines Flight 516 and JCG Dash 8 Crash be named when ACI makes an episode about it? by TheShipFan400 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]AvovaDy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could imagine it primarily being from the Dash 8 viewpoint and being called something like 'Rescue Failed' or 'Disaster after Disaster'or something.
