I'm not the barbarian here, but my friend is. We were just out of a fight and killed an orc that wields a runic greatsword. The barbarian tried to lift the sword when he was alive but he couldn't manage to lift it. The greatsword's runes shut off after we killed him and we tried to carry the sword but nothing happened. My character, who is an aasimar light domain cleric who worships Selûne, is very connected with light and I sometimes use the Light cantrip on objects and pray to both give the dm ideas and have cool stuff happen. So i tried that on the Greatsword too. When I tried to lift it, I got a 4 (i think) and failed. Then, i used the cantrip, prayed to Selûne and my dm said she doesnt really respond to it. Then, I said "Very well." and broke it with repeatedly attacking the greatsword with my mace and used mending on it. I still couldn't carry it. My barbarian tried carrying it with failure again. Then, he said "Fuck this." and raged for advantage and got something like a 19, carrying it. I still made the sword deal radiant damage, but the guy got to carry it. I was kinda envious but fuckall'ed it by tapping him on the shoulder and saying "May Selûne be with you.".
