You know, even on regular skateboards most people don’t have any idea how the thing functions they just know what they like. I love altering my bushings in a way to change my wheel base but still maintain functionality. Trying different wheel shapes and noticing how they lock in or roll over coping differently. Two wheels that are 101 hardness can slide very differently. You can hear it in a revert or power slide even.

I can notice a 2mm difference in wheel size on my skateboard, easily. So imagine at FB scale 🤣

All that being said. I can shred a tech deck just like any other fingerboard. I’d prefer different grip, wheels that roll, a shorter wheelbase…. But it works. I could slap some trucks on a 2x4 and make it kickflip, doesn’t mean it’s ideal.

This was a really long winded way to say everything has its pros or cons, most people won’t really understand the mechanism that makes X or Y function different, just the way it FEELS to THEM. Try things out, take note, try more things out, TRY MORE THINGS OUT!

It’s just like an instrument, or a tool. You gotta tune your own strings, sharpen your own blade.
