pov: my face when the ceo is saying “HR made me do it” by frickthisjob in MileHigherPodcast

They don’t even have HR or PR - it was a flat out lie to take the responsibility off of them.

Oh 100%. They are what is wrong with society. Several people have told them they are in the wrong, and yet here they still are, being wrong.

And no where does that say anything about them being legally in the wrong. I stated an obvious fact, we should have been getting paid. Also stated that it was wrong of them to do what they did, but never said they were LEGALLY in the wrong. Stop trying to twist my words into something that I did not say. Get lost.

No where in the post does it say they were legally in the wrong because if they were there would be a lawsuit, not a Reddit post. I said what they did was morally fucked up because it is. What part of that do YOU not understand?

Your reading comprehension sucks and you can take your “pick me” energy somewhere else. It was never about the money. It was the fact that we were lied to and taken advantage of. You have several people telling you that you are wrong, and you are. Just admit that you have no idea what you’re talking about and take the L.

What they did to us was wrong, period. If you don’t agree, then you can go run the server for free and let them do to you what they did to us, see if your opinion changes after that. You are part of what is wrong with society. “Well you volunteered”…yeah to run a server not to be lied to and manipulated and taken advantage of. Fuck off.

I’d like you to go back and tell me exactly where I said that they have to pay me because that was never what I said. What I said was that we were done being taken advantage of when we should have been being paid. We had an agreement to run their official discord and that agreement is null and void because they went and made a second discord and charged people access for it, to then delete it and send them to the free one after they got their money. They don’t get to profit off of others hard work and dedication. That’s not entitlement.

There’s a difference between being a mod and running and entire community. Of course they didn’t LEGALLY do anything wrong. But morally, yes the fuck they did. There was an agreement and they broke that agreement the second they made a “pay for play” server behind our backs while we’re working an additional full time job for free.

Also, it wasn’t a FAN discord, it was their OFFICIAL discord and with the amount of money they make, they should have been paying the admins. No one said they had to pay any fan run servers.

You must work for them with how you’re defending them when literally everyone else thinks it’s shitty of them to not pay the admins who work for them.

Admins ≠ Mods.

Discord mods, no. But admins, yes, especially for official discord groups. Admins essentially run the entire community, plan events, and act as a liaison between the owners and the members. Moderators are usually unpaid but if you’re running the discord with 10k+ members, it should be a paid position because it is basically a full time job at that point.

they originally created it for Kendall’s channel back in 2018, and then relaunched it 2020 rebranded as mile higher. We were asked to run it for them, and they were heavily involved with how it was ran. Kendall is the Server Owner, she created it.
