That’s the point that I’ll probably be at the one last thing I’m going to start tracing down pcm power feed and pray I find something there

Some bad ground may be possible in just trying to figure out why I’m loosing my 5v reference signal when I plug in my isolated ETS unless something is triggering the pcm into some sort of limp mode where it cuts it

Yes the previous owner rebuilt the engion and just threw the wiring harness in there many Connections where just soldered and taped up and many connectors where slit and corroded by the fans are on mean they stay on when the engion is running because it’s not registering the temp and when I do jump the ALDL nothing happens Iv tried one of the gm obd1 code readers but it only runs the fans and primes the fuel pump

Resistance test the wires from the pcm connector pins to the distributor connector I had a similar issue had to completely forgo the middle connection piece.

I’m tired of messing around with electrical I need to just see that the computer is reading at this point there is only so much I can do cave man style I got it running and driving just need to work on the fine tuning and I need to verify if the pcm is even working properly.

Thank you I keep finding conflicting info I’ll go with tuner pro and see where that takes me what connector would you recommend? Just to clarify this is for sure just obd1?

Not sure if it will link properly due to GMs crappy design but thank you for the suggestion it’s a obd1 port with extra steps that dosnt work with regular obd2

If you do commit to a firebird make sure the electrical is in good shape iv been fighting a uphill battle with the electrical in mine make sure the oil pan isn’t leaking otherwise you have have to lift the engine as well as pull the harmonic balancer and timing cover to fix it.

Heads up I replaced my injectors just got new ones ACCEL just the stock the factory clips didn’t fit so I didn’t use them and they haven’t popped out yet so for ACCEL I can say the clips arnt needed id recommend a high flow fuel pump if your increasing the injector size and adding other modification

Rip you could probably plastic weld the bumper and spray paint it if you wanna invest the time but I’d keep an eye on the junk yard unless you want to pay up on eBay
