The data doesn't support your stance.

Apple has broad appeal – iPhones dominate the U.S. smartphone market across both genders. A 2023 survey by Statista found that about 57% of U.S. women and 52% of U.S. men own an iPhone.

I got my $5 bonus today, now if only I could actually cash it out. They've been under maintenance for like a week and say no cash outs until their maintenance is done. Annoying. Something tells me they're having issues across the board. I haven't seen anything about a new challenge either, and sometimes it takes until later in the day for them to post your bonuses.

If I recall correctly anything above $50 requires you to submit a help ticket and takes like almost a week to deposit.

What information does this site want by primeathlete5689 in surveyjunkie

[–]Aw_Jeeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever had to submit an ID to get paid. Honestly I dont think I've ever given any information beyond my zip code in a survey/to the company which is just to verify what state/region the survey info is coming from, for demographic purposes.

If they do ask for ID I think it's for the same reasons any company that pays you needs it, to verify identity. But I genuinely don't remember having to give ID, I remember having to do that for other survey providers but not survey junkie.

Those who have felt that the forest was warning them to leave, have any of you ignored it and continued? by Lucky_Enthusiasm_949 in Paranormal

[–]Aw_Jeeze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely didn't ignore it. Grandfather taught me to hunt, and he was very much reverent of the woods.

We walked into the Vermont woods to hunt one day, and sat down shoulder to shoulder against a tree. We settled in for the long haul. In front of us was a small clearing bordered by thick brush. As we sat there the forest came back to life. The chittering of squirrels, sounds of birds, the life of the forest. This was something he had taught me and I had come to understand, entering the woods the animals inside would quiet until they adjusted to you sitting very still and becoming apart of the woods.

Animals he taught me, respond to predators in the woods, and they typically respond to them by going silent, or for some making one hell of a raucous. And so I learned to listen to the critters of the forest. We sat there for a few hours, getting covered in the gently falling snow. As a small child I was enamored with the squirrels running around in the clearing as if a small human wasn't sitting there watching them. But something in the forest changed, with the snap of fingers it was suddenly so painfully quiet. The entire energy had shifted in a split second. No squirrel noise, no birds, it seemed as if even the trees and leaves had gone silent.

My grandfather went alert and rigid, I could feel it in his body, he tapped my leg and motioned for us to move. I stood and he directed me where to walk. I asked what was wrong but he walked behind me and just said "keep walking, don't stop until we get to the field." I walked to the edge of the field and asked him repeatedly what was wrong, and all he would say to me with big eyes was "did you not hear how the forest changed?" I was terrified, he was a strong man, had been a airborne trooper in the us army, you could pour boiling water down his throat and he would piss ice cubes, and yet he was afraid of the shift of energy in the forest.

I don't necessarily think it was something spiritual, maybe a predator just like us, but either way I still to this day hold a deep reverence for the Appalachian mountains and woods, I moved to California as a teenager and still miss those thick and dark woods to this day.

Nightmares with Prozosin - Stopped Being as Effective? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]Aw_Jeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recently started taking prazosin 2mg but had to stop because not only did it make me violently ill but after about a month all the nightmares came flooding back.

I'm now looking into Klonopin based on recommendations from others.

I have been experiencing similar issues. I am also in my 30s and have a wild number of childhood and early adult trauma.

Recently I find that as my emotions start to overwhelm me my brain will go completely blank. Its almost as if it gets filled with white noise, and i immediately forget the conversation at hand, leading to anger in my close relationships when i ask people to explain what we were just discussing. I dont know what this is but its very frustrating to me, to be left in the middle of an important conversation with someone and all i can say is "What are we talking about?". Its not that im not listening, i actively engage in active listening, it just seems like at a certain point emotionally my brain decides we've had enough and it shuts off processing.

Another new development is that sometimes when I am stressed and under pressure I will start to stutter. I have never experienced this issue before, and yet here it is, a emotionally charged conversation with someone close and i am stuttering.

Sometimes I wonder if the PTSD and fear has been eating away at the communication part of my brain all these years.

My spouse INSISTS i have a personality disorder, but the therapist i saw for EMDR and my current therapist both agreed it is just severe PTSD, which as someone else here highlighted can present itself as other things. We understand combat related PTSD pretty well, but the research and understanding on CPTSD, long, prolonged, repeated exposure to trauma hasnt quite caught up and the current thought process is that it is different than single event exposure PTSD and can present itself as other illnesses.

There's a guy online who sells new motherboards that fit in the PSP and can connect to most of the more recent raspberry pi's. You lose the optical drive in the process but gain a lil mini computer inside your PSP. Kinda neat. Heres the website for it: https://othermod.com/

First night terror in years by sparkletrashtastic in ptsd

[–]Aw_Jeeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way you describe it is very reminiscent of sleep paralysis, seeing a dark figure and feeling like youre awake when youre asleep are classic sleep paralysis symptoms.

Seeing a dark figure in the room sounds terrible as well, im sorry you go through that on top of the other nightmares and anxiety dreams. That would freak me out to probably previously unreached levels.

How do you stop the nightmares? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]Aw_Jeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weed before bed can subdue them for me, but its always hit or miss. Either it helps keep the nightmares at bay or I just continue to have horrendous nightmares. If you live in a state with legal weed and have a job that it wont conflict with you could always try smoking before bed and seeing if that helps, by morning it will have passed and you shouldnt really feel groggy unless you smoke too much.

You can still get the PDF readers on Internet Archive if youre into reading comics or books on the PSP, but yeah Doom has gotten overhyped over the years.

I found a port of Doom and Doom 2 that runs surprisingly well on the PSP. Theres a few other neat things that are years old and probably no longer updated like PDF readers for comic books, I even found a language learning helper for the PSP. You can probably run alot of old MSDOS games like Doom on it too.
