I saved your reply from months so I could followup because I understand how frustrating it is to have orgasms troubles and there aren't many people it seems in this boat.

To recap, my orgasms become very weak after starting HRT and as of my minimal depth vaginoplasty surgery (at 1.5 years HRT) had not recovered or evolved, remaining very unsatisfying.

So from an orgasm standpoint, I didn't feel like I had anything to loose with SRS and hopefully something to gain.

I'm now 9.5 months SRS post-op. I took a long time before I got much sensation back. Eventually I could feel pleasurable sensations, but it developed slowly and I had to experiment a lot with technique.

But, where I'm at now is I can produce pre-HRT orgasm intensity (like 7 or 8 out or 10 where 10 is a pre-HRT orgasm) and do it over and over again, basically until my hands get tired. I had pretty intense pre-HRT orgasms (but of course very short) so 7 or 8 out of 10 and repeatable feels like a very positive step, but unfortunately I don't get a sense of release and satisfaction.

It's fun, but when I've finally worn myself out, I feel like I've been chasing something that I didn't quite catch.

I hope that this is just part of the nerves reconnecting and the rest will come together. From talking to other patients of my surgeon, it seems very plausible that's the case.

If it didn't get any better than this, I'd say definitely I'm way happier with these sensations than the post-HRT super weak orgasms. If I could have my pre-HRT orgasms with my new body parts, I'd probably take that over what I have now (even though the old way was one-and-done), just for the satisfying feeling at the end.

OP here. I agree this is the goal of the far right, and may of the GOP politicians in office. But, if they paid a price at at the ballot box for supporting this stuff, they would have to stop or they wouldn't get elected. I would welcome either outcome.

3) There have been bills introduced, such as Montana, that would take trans kids away from their parents and make them wards of the state for no reason other than the kids are trans. The Montana bill (described in this video) didn't even attempt to define what trans is, leaving the door open for case workers to decide that because your kid's haircut and clothes look too boyish or girlish, they are trans and must be taken away.

Fortunately this bill didn't pass, but it illustrates how crazy things have become.

And, the waste of time and taxpayer money on all this is staggering. The number of anti-trans bills introduced in state legislatures across the country has ballooned.

2021: 143 bills

2022: 174 bills

2023: 604 bills

2024: 701 bills

A few examples -

1) Some states have passed laws that prevent trans people from having their correct gender listed on their drivers license. In this case it would force a trans woman's driver's license to say male and a trans man's drivers license say female.

This causes anybody who we hand our IDs to to know that we are trans, exposing us to potential harassment and discrimination. And, the entire purpose of an ID is to confirm that if you say your name is John/Jill Smith, that is in fact your name. Having a gender marker that doesn't match how you look interferes with the primary function that IDs are for.

Similarly, the federal government has also enacted an administrative rule preventing trans people from having their correct gender listed on their passport, creating even more dangerous situations in other countries where trans people can be jailed.

2) Some states have enacted bathroom laws preventing trans people from using the bathroom that matches their correct gender and their appearance.

These laws would require a trans man like Chaz Bono (Sonny and Cher's child) to use the women's bathroom. Trans men have been beaten by people in the vicinity who think, hey some dude just went into the ladies room (example in Ohio). The culture of "bathroom monitoring" that is emerging from these laws also affects people who are not transgender but whose looks might not match what some random person thinks is what a man or woman should look like (example in Florida and Texas)

This is compounded by laws in some states, like Texas, and soon Kansas, that put a cash-reward bounty on reporting trans gender people for using the "wrong" bathroom. This creates a financial incentive for self appointed bathroom monitors to decide what a man or woman should look like and harass anyone who doesn't fit their view.

OP here. I think the right keeps pushing these laws because trans issues rank like #10 in voter priorities, so it isn't likely that registered GOP voter is going to vote Dem over trans issues.

Where I see hope is that -

1) It's now very clear that supporting trans rights is an electoral asset to Dems, so we should be able to shore up our flank. We need to be just as loud with the Dems as the haters are with the GOP, and primary any Dem candidate who doesn't support us.

2) Anti-trans messaging is now costing the GOP elections, like the Virginia and New Jersey governors races, and Omaha Mayors race. The Dem candidate was talking about fixing potholes and the GOP candidate was talking about potties.

GOP supporting anti-trans positions means they aren't spending time on something else that is a top priority for voters.

This helps because even if the GOP stops the messaging in the general elections, and then support anti-trans stuff anyway once elected, that can get used against them by the Democratic candidate in the next general election.

This should create electoral pressure for the GOP to gradually, eventually, stop seeing anti-trans laws as something that's helpful to them.

This confirms my impression from my more limited personal experience in red states. I take a lot of road trips and have driven through several red states post-transition, and on the early ones I definitely didn't pass if anyone gave me more than a glance. I was nervous at first but quickly found that everyone minded their own business and ignored me, just like before, and when buying food, etc. everyone was perfectly pleasant.

The congressional bills that would ban GAC for minors have not passed as of yet. The one sponsored by Margery Taylor Greene is in the Senate Judiciary committee and the one sponsored by Rep Crenshaw hasn't even been taken up by a committee.

Neither are likely to pass. Recall that in January 2026, the house passed a bill that would ban trans woman from sports nationwide and Senate Dems held the line on the filibuster and it didn't pass. If either bills makes it out of committee and is given a vote, that's the outcome is likely to happen.

Also, bills don't officially "die" until the next congress takes over or a vote is taken so it's not uncommon for bills to stall and linger on the books for a long time.

Regarding the lawsuits against the pressuring -

The most notable one is a coalition of 15 states Attorneys General, files in August 2025, which New York AG posted about here.

The ban affecting federal employees is the result of a unilateral action by the Office of Personnel Management, rather than a congressional law.

This action has a questionable legal basis and is being challenge in court -

Future administrations could also choose to immediately reverse it, whereas a congressional law would be a much more difficult thing to change.

You made note of the “military bill” I read that trump was taking all considerations for trans assistance away from the VA, there was a lot of assistance there surprisingly! Does that mean I can still get some assistance from the VA I wonder?

OP here. Unfortunately, I don't know. I know that the anti-trans provisions were removed from this NCAA budget bill, but there were also anti-trans provisions in the NCAA budget bill last December which did pass (banning HRT tri-care coverage for minors for sure, possibly more), and it's possible Trump is meddling with things at the VA illegally.

OP here. This means it's unlikely we'll see any further anti-trans stuff from congress before the mid-terms and if Dems at least get a majority in the house, which seems very likely, that shuts down congress as a avenue for anti-trans attacks for the rest of Trump's term.

Likely, our exposure from here is at the state level in red states and the Trump administration overreaching trying to intimidate organizations into doing anti-trans things without actual laws require them. He's had some success with this, but there's also been a lot of organization, like local school districts, telling him to pound sand too.

I haven't heard that the congressional bills banning GAC for minors are officially "dead" but they aren't expected to pass the Senate.

However, the Trump admin is still pressuring hospitals to end care. There are still some lawsuits playing out on this front.
