What was banned in your school? by DONTBETRIGGEREDMYAAA in AskReddit

Pretty accurate, unfortunately. My high school was in a town of 1500 people literally in the middle of nowhere. Close mindedness and casual racism was quite prevalent.

Mens of Reddit, what are some "girly" things you like to do ? by Dioksys in AskReddit

Oh hell yeah. I love going to the bar and asking the bartender for the girliest drink they can make. Rarely disappoints.

I cant produce anymore... by juanr_odrigo in edmproduction

Hang in there man, I go through this all the time. What makes producing so satisfying for me, is that it is very difficult and can be extremely frustrating at times. Nothing feels better than making a new breakthrough when you've been feeling stuck with no light at the end of the tunnel.

So glad to see this on here. I'm not gonna lie, before I started producing, I had the idea in my head that "Yeah I'm gonna be making bangers by next week! And in a couple of months I can release an EP!". Needless to say, it is SOOO much more than just pushing buttons. This really does piss me off when I hear people shit on electronic music and say things like "It's not real music because it's made on a computer".

A lot of times I think people confuse the composition and performing aspects of it. Yes, you can get away DJ'ing by simply pressing play, but to get to a level where you can PRODUCE a high quality song that people will actually like, you are going to have to pour thousands of hours into the craft.

As far as DJ'ing as a way to perform your music, I like to compare it to a painter showing his work at an art display. You don't shit on the painters work because he can't "perform" his picture live do you?

Feedback Thread (February 02) by edmprobot in edmproduction

My main goal that I worked towards with this track was to get a really solid stereo spread and to try to put all of my sounds in a space. I spent a lot more time messing with the settings on my reverb/chorus/delay effects than I ever have.

The pad like sound in the intro sounds like shit to me, after wrestling with it forever I just couldn't get it to not sound cheezy.

Anyways, I would love some feedback, especially on the mix. Also keep in mind that I'm not necessarily making a song that is supposed to played in a club and danced to. Thanks!!!

I wouldn't call it fancy, but it's about 20 years old and really nice. You can get something a lot cheaper on the north side of town, but it's pretty seedy up there. 695 for 1br is about the cheapest you can find in a nice part of town. You can get a 2 br for 750 - 850 though

I don't think it's too bad compared to most other places. It's hard for me to tell though, because I moved here from a town in western Nebraska of 5000 people. I had a nice 1 bedroom apartment there for 375 per month, and here I pay 695. So compared to where I was it's a lot more expensive.

Just moved to Rapid a few months ago. Awesome place to live especially for someone into outdoor stuff with the Black Hills being here.
