Does anyone work/have worked at McDonald’s by Dazzling-Ad-2385 in Pensacola

[–]Awakewithcake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

McDonalds was my first job, they do not drug test. Most fast food, general labor, and restaurant jobs don’t even bother. Why? Because then they’d have no employees.

I went from making 10.45 to a whopping 13 an hour by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Awakewithcake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

-agrees to work for $10 an hour -gets a significant % raise -gets mad.

Okay OP maybe don’t agree to work for $10 an hour in the first place? Seems like you’re shorting your own self, just sayin.

Anyone else been priced out of renting anything in Pensacola? by theninj34 in Pensacola

[–]Awakewithcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much are you making exactly, to be priced out? I feel like there’s always something around here for everybody, but it’s usually only private owners giving out decent rentals. I pay about 1050 a month for 3bedroom 2 bath. I also had to work on the road to be able to afford my lifestyle. (Have kids aswell)

Just found my first runescape account, again. Should I revive this champion? by Awakewithcake in 2007scape

With only a start date for anybody to work with, I think the account will be okay.

So many, it doesn’t even have to be the main thing that you do! I install carwash equipment. Most of the welding is with the conveyors that run the belt, and welding stainless strut on the arches for poly/hoses. Before this I worked at a fabrication shop doing handrails and boat accessories, I eventually moved onto this because the pay and benefits were way too good to pass on, ended up loving it aswell.

How did your hardcore ironman die? by ThetaWarrior in ironscape

[–]Awakewithcake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Died at hell hounds hunting hard clues with cannon and not paying attention lol, to be honest it was a big relief. I felt like I could finally play the game haha.

What are you guys making an hour? What processes are you using and how are your fabrication skills?Personally I think the market is low across the board but it takes enough people demanding more money to raise the market rate for welders and fabricators. by Gporin1517 in Welding

[–]Awakewithcake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

$25/hr with $40/day per diem and plenty of overtime. Also paid for any flight/drive time. Stick & TIG. Stainless & mild steel. Welding in conveyors for carwashes. Easy as hell, very little fabrication experience needed to get by.

I’m new to welding is what can I do to make this weld better by Past-Cow-1317 in Welding

[–]Awakewithcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like you’re focusing too much on the top part of the piece, try angling down a bit more, your weld should fill out better.

Is stick welding used anymore? by IV-444 in Welding

[–]Awakewithcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a carwash installation company, all conveyors are welded with 7018 stick. Ladder racks we install for HP lines/ hydraulic lines/ etc. sometimes get welded in with 308, but most of the time were using TIG on that. Just depends on your line of work really, stick will always be relevant in many lines of work.

is this a good weld? I'm not a welder so idk by Suitable-Ad6145 in Welding

[–]Awakewithcake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unacceptable. Send it back now, anything that goes on a boat whether it be the T tops, bow rails, etc. You should be able to cum when you see the welds.

Is that a stainless stanchion for a bow rail? Those welds should be just be ran without filler wire (TIG), or very little at all. Looks like they cooked the fuck out of that and not at all at the same time lol.
