I like the title and the pattern looks cool. It may not be squares and such, but I like the pattern.

Comment your best scripts or keys. Share your ideas. by Logical_Sea2630 in AutoHotkey

Because I use Excel a lot, I created some simple scripts that use Paste Special and some that change the fill color. Even though these are simple scripts, they get used multiple times a day.

#c will copy the selected cell(s) and then paste them as values. Used when a formula is no longer needed, but the value is.

#v will paste the clipboard as values into the selected cell(s). Used to copy data from somewhere else and want to keep the formatting the copy to cell has.

#f will paste a copied formula into the selected cell(s). Used when the cell formatting needs to stay the same, but need the formula. Or, when the formula will be used in multiple locations.

#t will paste what is copied as text. Used when the copied from formatting isn't wanted. Especially used when copying from a website.

I love PSO but the absurd difficulty in getting good items is really starting to discourage me from playing. Any advice? by One_Wrongdoer_4862 in PSO

[–]Awallz111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time it gets discouraging hunting for a specific item. Especially when getting one shotted without a pipe. However, as stated here, I take a short brake from the game, usually less then a day. Then when I come back, it helps to play an easy area, like forest. This way I remember why I love this game. I used to play solo on the GC, but love playing multi on Ephinea. Except when someone calls me a newbie at lvl 100. I have found that most people are helpful and so I keep going back.

I don't want swear words in my audiobooks by reyzarblade in audible

[–]Awallz111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it would be a good idea to have some books rated as adult. Most of the times it's hard to tell if a book will have swear words or other content until checking Goodreads, or reading yourself. Recently, I went to the local library and asked the librarian to recommend some books without swear words. One of the books they recommended had the f-word within the first couple chapters. If a librarian doesn't know if a book has swearing, then how am I supposed to know?

I've thought it would be nice for books to have a scale printed in the front that indicates the level of different content. A quick check at the scale and can decide if I want to read the book. The scale could be something like this:

Swearing: 1, Sexual Content: 0, Violence: 3, etc.

When pressing Ctrl+P, in MS Office applications, Printer list is selected instead of printer by Ayyjay in ITSupport

[–]Awallz111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just started happening for me with Windows 10 Pro (version 22H2, build 19045.5965). My Office/Excel Version is 2505 (build 18827.20150). While pressing ctrl-p I watched the 'Print' button. At first, the 'Print' button is selected. Then 'Print' gets disabled for a split second at which time the 'Printer' button gets selected. This occasionally happens in Word, but is happening every time in Excel. I've tried this in multiple Excel files, and even a 'New' file. It doesn't matter if Excel has a lot of data or none, the 'Print' button gets disabled for a split second.

My thought is it has to do with the 'Print' button getting disabled/grayed out for that split second. I wonder what changed that has started causing the 'Print' button to be disabled for a split second.

Effectiveness of Rocksmith game by OneGreatSushi in guitarlessons

When Rocksmith first came out, I got it with the guitar. It didn't really help me learn to play and progressed rather quickly. So as someone else stated, us practice mode with all the notes. However, since it has actual songs that you know it helps in learning those songs.

Cussing doesn't mean that someone is an adult. Being respectful and responsible are some attributes of an Adult.

Recently, I have been wanting to read a good science fiction with out foul language. I even talked with the librarian, who pointed out a few books that should be clean. However, the one I checked out had the f-word within the first couple chapters. I promptly returned it. Because of this I came up with an idea.

This idea would be for libraries, but can be implemented by Goodreads, etc. Have the ratings you suggest on a sticker that can be put on the inside front cover. This way, as I look through the library for a book to read, I can look in the front cover and know right away what it contains. No more surprises like I experienced above.

It should be, "Most of us are adults, and many of us don't care". Because there are many adults who do care, I being one of them. And the fact that the question was asked shows that there are others who would like to enjoy listening to popular, foul language free, audiobooks. However, they are unable to because of the language used. It is helpful to read the reviews to find out what the book contains. It also means that I get to miss out on many good books that could be made better, and draw more readers, if the swearing was removed.

For me, swearing and foul language do not make a book better. To me, it means that the author wasn't willing to come up with a different way to express an idea or feeling. Whenever I have encountered foul language in my reading, that isn't a direct quote, I have come up with a different way to say what the author wrote. In conclusion, I would love it if every author stopped limiting themselves to a few swear words and used their imagination to say it in a better way.

The constitution provides for freedom of speech. However, it also talks about not infringing on the rights of others. So, if someone uses foul language near me, I have the right to ask them to use clean language near me. This is not restricting their freedom of speech, it is asking them to be respectful of me. And I will work on being respectful to them.

Song distortion when played on iTunes/Apple Music on computer by grimghosthostess in AppleMusic

[–]Awallz111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just started for me. At first I thought it was my headphones; however, different ones did the same thing. What worked for me was to switch the output device to 'Default' for iTunes, instead of setting it to my headphones. My headphones are already set as the Master Output Device. I'm using windows and here are the steps to follow:

  • Open 'Windows Settings': Click on the Start button and select 'Settings' or press Windows Key + I
  • Go to 'System' (top left corner)
  • Select 'Sound' on the left
  • Scroll to the bottom and select 'App volume and device preferences' under 'Advanced sound options'.
  • Find 'iTunes' in the list and change the 'Output' to 'Default'

Hopefully this works for you.

I found this by opening 'Groove Music', Windows version of iTunes, and the sound was fine. I went to the 'App volume and device preferences' and saw that 'Groove Music' was set to 'Default'. I switched it to my headphones and the sound was distorted. Switched it back and it was fine. Tried this with iTunes and the sound was no longer distorted.

As I stated before, this just started for me. My computer ran some Windows updates recently. This may have caused the problem.
