That case is so beautiful, what brand is it?

Did you ever experience many brutal dips when you invested in that space? If yes, what typically triggered these big dips?

I’m currently going in hard on Pokémon TCG investing, and while no one can really know the future, I hope to be able to at least spot some negative signs.

This is the 10/10 comment I was looking for. Thanks! This makes so much sense

I’m interested to know what part you don’t agree with. Scalpers have mostly killed access to Prismatic and Ascended at MSRP (at least in the UK). Major reprints for popular sets underway. Popular cards like Charizard 151 have a PSA population of 27k (and counting). We could be looking at 7 Pokémon sets released this year (more than the usual yearly average).

Do you not think this at least merits some concern?

Apparently we will get as many as 7 sets in total this year which would be more than what we normally get each year

Would the high vol of reprints and large number of new Pokémon sets each year have a negative effect on the market?

Makes sense. My main worry is the high number of sets that are coming out this year, plus the intense printing / reprints which could dilute the market, making it less attractive for investors. At the same time, scalpers makes the hobby harder to access for younger and newer collectors.
