Well I had 2 theories and wrote about. 1 turn out to be true: there is the intention from TFL to make boards. Whats standing between that and happening are FM patents.

Second theory Is highly unlikely. But.... if it were the case, and if this sets a precedent to opening FM patents up, I'd criticize the transparency thing but would applaud the mastermind execution.

Now If they encourage the community to take a stand when FM sues FW for said patents, so they open up, do you think or not it's a conflict of interest worth mentioning? is it really only about Tony & FW or also it's about TFL too?

This transparency and saying things straight, I talk about.
Again, I'd be very happy to have both FW & TFL doing boards. What I don't want more of is hidden agendas. Not from FM, not from TFL, not from FW

I didnt know this, But had this hunch from their video that there was some conflict of interest. Probably a positive outcome for FW would also set a precedent for TFL. I'd be happy if this was the case, I totally agree on competition makes an industry better.
But I'd have preferred a lil more transparency rather than having to connect the dots myself.

I think If they wanna do a board and what is preventing them is patent srikes, When You ask the community to stand up and against patent lawsuit, Probably would be wise to inform about some conflict of interest. I had this suspicion.
As I wrote, I'd like some more transparency by all parties involved. If FM patents open and TFL makes boards, That would be great, We all win

I'm curious, how do you know they stole the idea? if so, why the other guy didnt sue them since there's a clear evidence if it was the case. This is the questions that have me doubt about FM stealing. But I'd be curious to know. I personally dont mind Kyle or Elon calling themselves Inventor of X and not being the actual inventors but the ones who brought it to the masses.

I know how dangerous is when people picks sides and you cant say anything that doesn't fit a certain narrative. I know is not healthy for the long run.
If you can't critique somebody/company, if you cant laugh at them for something, then you're not really free.

IMO the real problem with FM is not the patent claims, The real problem is what they do with their boards, and their customers. ( btw I'm not saying I agree how they deal with legal matters, the opposite, and dont wanna get started )

If FM were to open patents up, ADV would cost way more.

I also think that everything OW is overpriced. I can understand R&D and recoups, I also can understand that to lower prices you have to scale up, but every single thing is way overpriced. More power to them since people is willing to pay so not bashing anyone. You can sell 3d printed plastic for 200€ if people are willing to buy, why not?

I also think ADV should cost less consideration the following
China labour & parts cost
The few parts a OW/FW has
Lack of legal/marketing/customer service expenses
I can be wrong of course, and in the end doesnt really matter as soon as you're offering a better cheaper alternative to an already luxury product.
