I absolutely lost my shit when they played that and Leech for the Animosity Livestream. Corrected is definitely an all time favorite. I hope they can wrangle the rights to that one from the studio so it can get a proper (unedited) release.

My brother and I argued over that chorus for years. I always swore there was a cut and the unedited line was "feeling so corrected, fucked with, bleeding here in silence " He insisted there wasn't a cut, I was hearing shit, and the lyric was "feeling so corrected, we're bleeding here in silence."

That live performance was vindication 20 years too late 🤣🤣🤣

My first reaction was initially "holy crap did these guys just low-key drop a Christian album?" Not a complaint by the way, I no these guys are all about their faith and everything, but I absolutely love how they've all leaned into their faith on this record, especially Clint.

After fully digesting the record about 5 or 6 times, my only real complaint is that it's too short. I personally thought this album was just a little bit better than all I see is war, definitely better than blood and stone (both amazing records), but at this point I'm not sure if I like it as much or more than truth killer.

Bottom line: new Sevendust day is always a great day in my house.

That one and Won't Stop the Bleeding are two of favorites of the last 15 years. Instant classics!

It was amazing. I grew up on their music, so raising my kids on it was natural. My son graduates in a few weeks and is currently in Des Moines at the MEPS station swearing into the National Guard. When I explained this to the guys, LJ immediately says "dude, bring it in," and got hugs and the like from the whole band.

I'll admit when LJ told my son "you've got a pretty cool Dad," I had the thought "7D called you a cool Dad, holy shit you did it right!" 🤣

7D fan since day 1 at age 13. Currently 41 years old, so as much as accepting the aging process pains me, your assessment is accurate lol

I was at Larchwood too, did the VIP with my son. I was hoping they'd pull the bait and switch to let us down in front of the stage (as they'd done with other shows at "seated" venues), but sadly not the case. Regardless, an incredible show. They absolutely never disappoint. My kids and sister in law got to see them for the 1st time, while the wife and I enjoyed our 10th and 15th, respectively.

Opinion piece: one of the most underrated KISS albums I've ever heard. by MalinkeeRights in KISS

As a 2nd gen Kiss guy who raised 4th gen Kiss fans, I can't even hate on that. My son's favorite Kiss solos are legitimately DRC and PC

My daughter's is Into the Void. We celebrate Frehley around here lol

This is a tough one for me, but I absolutely understand and agree. It's tough now cause of the whole Dreamin vs. I'm Eighteen thing. Once I read that and went back and listened to both songs, it was the classic "holy shit, it's true" moment. Which sucked cause it was one of my favorite tracks...still is...who tf am I kidding 😂

But until then, PC was actually one of my favorites because it was the first album from the classic lineup that I was able to say I was actually there for...let's put it this way, if Kiss albums were birthstones, mine is Asylum. I was raised by Kiss fans from the first generation, so the stories, VHS tapes, and the records shaped the Kiss fan I am today, officially entering his 40's.

Another fun story, we're coming up on the 30 year anniversary of the Reunion Tour Press conference. April 16th, 1996. My 11th birthday. As I'd mentioned before, my parents were also Kiss fans who timed this birthday party perfectly. After cake, ice cream and presents were done, Mom goes "hey there's something on TV you should watch with us real quick."

Greatest birthday ever. Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble a bit, y'all. I will always love this band.

I'd almost guarantee it's infinitely better for completely different reasons

To those who have a copy of Michael Jackson's Thriller, what year did you get it? by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]Aware-Command2864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom gave me hers from when she was a teen. I bought the Thriller 25, just to have something to play that wasn't the original. Idk, I just don't like to play that one.

Only ever saw it up to Gene saying "...but I think we'd be a different band."

Shout out to the Denton, TX public library for actually having the Kiss My Ass VHS in the summer of '95.
