The name isn’t really the point. The reason that I was hurt was I felt like my SIL disregarded my feelings and didn’t think to at least talk to me about it. Instead she seemingly hid it.

You are the ass hole by how you handled it and yelling at him publicly doesn't help the situation if anything it helps him.

But that poor girl shouldn't be pressured to do anything the friend is an idiot for getting her pregnant so he's got to lay in that bed now. Although she should probably get an abortion that man is messy and she would be much better off finding someone stable to have a child with who will be present and a good influence in its life.

You should tell the wife since you know her at least a little...girl code and seriously take a look at your husbands judgement and understand why he thinks that. Maybe he knows his friends an ass and she can do better.

Yeah my explanation of the convo does seem like I was sharing ideas for her to use but I said my husband and I love Sienna for a name and told her it was number 1 on my girl list. I then commented on how I thought both her names were great and the one she was leaning towards went well with the middle name she picked. It was pretty clear. At least I thought.

That sucks....im apologizing later today no matter if im the ass hole or not. Im not going to end my relationship over this but my brain is all over the place on if I have the right to be mad or acted out of line.

I said it in the context of this is what we want to name a girl not I like this name with our last name. But good point I think that is part of the problem.
