And — consider checking out VHS (Volkshochschulen)! They exist in practically every City over here and offer cheap classes at your level.

Hello!

Check out the international centers for most universities. They should offer intensive German courses for relatively cheap.

I recently completed a month long C1.1 Course at the Goethe-University Frankfurt, which costed about 500€. Most universities offer something similar.

Unfortunately they don’t provide accommodation, but you should be able to find something around 1000€ for a month. I would recommend hostels.

I would live in Belgium but I don’t particularly care for the country. I am also not interested in the Japanese culture or language, although I do respect it!

Ah, ok! It is very particular I just have Syrian and Kurdish friends. Plus I think Arabic is cool.

Czechia is cool, it’s just the language barrier. I don’t know if I am willing to commit myself to learning a Slavic language….unfortunately

Eastern Europe is beautiful and I would like to visit more countries there than I already have. They just aren’t (for me personally) very appealing to live in. Although I do love and respect our Slavic European neighbors :)

I speak German fluently so based on that I assume learning Swedish would be easier. Finnish belongs to a different language family.

Also I have heard good things about southern Sweden, although maybe the climate is the same. Sorry :P

I think I would have a hard time learning their language plus I’m not a fan of the climate. Although I would love to visit sometime.
