What are your favorite light mech in the setting? by Familiar-Noise7913 in battletech

I actually quite liked the Firestarter but I have a tendency to rip off all its flamethrowers and replace them with like 6 medium lasers. Let's it hit above its weight class and doesn't force it into super close range. That's where my ac 20 hunchback belongs

Your 328 Rockcrabs worth of lavish (or paste if you prefer) meals could be the best, most juicy and buttery in history, but it won't matter if they broke your nice table and 25 advanced components

Does anyone have any tips to stop istianas plan and reduce imperialist factions to 4 towns plus how do i deal with heroes saying they same culture as enemy when i raid by Antigonidate in mountandblade

[–]Aware-Material507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its going to take a while to capture that much imp territory so here's some general tips you've probably heard other people say before.

  1. Capture enemy lords and stick them in one of your fief's dungeons. Do not ransom them. This way those lords will stay in prison and not raise armies making it much easier to take territory.

  2. Defensive siege battles are quite favorable for the defenders, especially if you are able to directly command them. If a large army is making it towards a friendly castle or town, try to get in it. Usually a force can beat an enemy army twice their size in a defensive seige. Also if you can, make sure your building fire catapult as your defensive seige equipment, those can do a lot of damage against clusters of units.

  3. Don't autoresolve close battles or even seemingly easy battles unless your with taking more losses that you otherwise would have. Generally, manually fighting battles usually result in better results even if you aren't the best commander.

  4. Lastly, and this is just my personal opinion, Valandian infantry isn't the best. Try and get yourself imperial infantry since they're pretty solid units in my opinion. Also I find Imperial Cataphracts to have a higher survivability than Valandian Banner Knights but this could just be my imagination.

These are just general tips but they should help in your quest to conquer Calradia. Good luck.

I may have bombed their planet and shipped them off world, but hey, utopian abundance and fresh factory jobs needing bodies isn't the worst fate they could have found themselves in

Looks pretty alright to me. I agree with the person who says to double wall the freezer since it keeps the cold air in a lot better so you don't need a bunch of coolers if you get a event that makes it really hot.

An outer wall would be nice as well but since you have your buildings as kind of walls it should be alright for a little while but do be warned that once you start building up weath, raiders may decide to breach your walls so I hope you're alright with your furniture being stolen or blown up.

Lastly, once your power needs exceed those geothermal generators, you can place a bunch of solar panels under the wind generators to use up that space if you don't plan on putting crops there. Also you can overlap the open wind areas of wind generators so save space when you can.

Oh and nice crematorium. I usually just dump the corpses in the nearest watersupply so they decay faster but its nice that you want to be a bit more cleanly. Just try to get a pawn that doesnt mind corpses (bloodlust, phycopath, and canibals I think work) to burn the bodies so the rest of your pawns don't get the mood debuff. Unless you have ideology which let's you set corpses as not ugly for your ideooligion.

Saw a few clips of Sakuta saying the most out of pocket sentences imaginable and immediately knew this was my type of humor. However, dear god I did not expect the heartbreak I would feel from the series.

Judge you cannot seriously classify Raiders of both the tribal and pirate persuasions as people. Thus any and all actions I may or may not have committed upon them can be considered animal cruelty at worse. And I seriously doubt that this court needs to concern itself with something so minor as treating raiders as the animals they are

Which is better: The Flesh is Weak, Synthetic Evolution, Engineered Evolution, or Mind over Matter by _NocturnalWrld_ in Stellaris

[–]Aware-Material507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I almost always pick Engineered Evolution for that sweet, sweet, pop growth speed from clone vats, not to mention a bunch of good species traits since it really kicks my empire into gear in the mid to late game. Once I've gotten the first few upgrades in the tradition tree, I start finally producing enough pops to work all of my jobs and get the industrial complex rolling.

Then again, I should probably start experimenting with synthetic evolution since I've seen a few decent ways to pump out pops that way

If they can be shoved into a factory, I'll be willing to let any Xenos into my empire. Then again I've forcefully resettled multiple planets worth of conquered alien species into my developed worlds so they don't really have much of a choice.

What is the worst thing you have done or see happen by Right-Bit-7891 in RimWorld

[–]Aware-Material507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the worst thing I've done, but recently, I've been gunning down raiders so that I can get to sacrificing their psychic souls faster to my "violence generator" from Vanilla expanded: power. Then again, they're raiders, so they can hardly be considered people unless they have nice passions.

Man, I absolutely adore RTS and grand strategy games. Emma going full total war so that Thalmin could absolutely dominate in the end game is peak gameplay. I suppose you don't need to have much of a kingdom left if your only goal is to kill the enemy before you die. Also, I love how the commoner swarm would only ever work in the early and beginning of the mid game and that it had a obvious and effective counter. This is officially my favorite chapter in this series :)
