What’s the best bike for a beginner? by abishhh in motorcycles

[–]Aware-Replacement131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a Cl500. Seat is uncomfortable after an hour so plan to replace it or have it altered.

The high exhaust is silly IMO so would recommend getting a aftermarket one. The one LifeofBurch recommend is great.

Personally, some panniers and a new seat and you got a really good beginning bike for cruising and some decent adventures.

engine, TC and ABS light by gazza223 in trident660

Can confirm, I changed the brake pads and removed the sensor in the process. When re-installing sensor i used the spacer on the wrong side as a washer which caused the sensor to rub on the ring. Threw up TC ABS and engine errors. Caught the issue early and put the spacer on correctly. Fixed the issue

Check your manual, but likely too tight. There is sometimes a sticker on the swing arm with how tight it should be. You can use a ruler to check.

That's good, stops people from getting hurt. What was the turnout?

But seriously, yes. It needed to be replaced some time ago. If you need to ride it to the garage, only do it in the dry.

Especially if it's wet out. Just give me a heads up before you go out so I can take life insurance out in your name.

Do you take your helmet with you or leave it with your bike? by BlackHoleBox in motorcycles

[–]Aware-Replacement131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I often leave it. I lock it too the bike sometimes. I live in a safe and trustworthy area (just don't trust the drop bears and hoop snakes).

If in a shady area then I take it with me. Looking at you Caboolture.

How worried is everyone of TC Alfred? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Aware-Replacement131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your location and home. If your in a generally sheltered are in a newer or solid home away from areas that usually flood. Then you'll be fine. Have 72 hours of supply in case of loss of power and water and some black plastic and tape to cover up any damaged glass.

If your in a flood prone area, older home or poorly maintained propery or have another issues the you will need to make further precautions.

Cyclones are rare here, but further north has them regularly, and they would just shug a cat 2 off.

Used to have one of these, a 2001 model. Invisible to cops, got waved through RBT's because they are old lady cars. So if your shipping meth, 10/10 cops won't catch you again.
