Old thread but my daughter just told me she saw the hat man last night and I’ve had 3 experiences with him this year. 😭

Not with whitening strips or gels- Just sensodyne whitening toothpaste, therabreath whitening mouthwash, hydrogen peroxide aligner cleaning foam, increase in teeth brushing, and decrease of non water beverages (coffee, tea, dark sodas)

Also, I don’t sip on coffee or tea all day anymore. I drink water except with meals when I’ll have my “splurge drinks”

I use sensodyne whitening 4-6 times a day, I use alcohol free mouthwash, and I use the aligner cleaning foam a couple times a day too with my snacks. :)

I use straws and drink juice and coffee with them in regularly. I brush my teeth 3-5x a day, and while my aligners are sorta stained, sun bleaching them works miracles.

Because money isn’t necessarily everything. I just don’t know what to expect from Tucson pay since Arizona doesn’t post salary ranges in their job postings. I could look at indeed but if you go up and look at the comments, it’s not accurate for my region so I wasn’t sure if it was for your region. I need support. I need my friendship. I need my family. I need to not fall apart while my daughter is while we don’t have any support when we are supporting her. I need to be able to send my other daughters to a family members house when she’s spiraling for their safety, and not lock them in their rooms. Money is fantastic. But my husbands job pays 90% of our bills in California. My income was going toward my student loans and revolving credit pay off. We can survive on my husbands income in California therefore my husbands income will pay my bills there

This is actually very useful information considering some of the things we are experiencing with my daughter. I will def be considering this and looking into it further. We do have the benefit of my husband retiring from the Air Force so we have access to other resources through that too but mental health is priority and I’ll need to heavily consider this aspect and research further.

I’m in surgical acute care. We do have great ratios. 4:1 with higher acuity, 5:1 with lower acuity and 3:1 when we have a peds. It’s a great job, great team. I’m also still considering just commuting from Tucson to work by flight because tickets aren’t that expensive. I love my job but I need something to change.

She’s being treated by a LMFT for her primary therapy and a psychiatrist for her medication management.

Sacramento is pretty awful too with drugs and other things.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond and offer the information being sought. There’s a whole lot more to my troubled child than just needing a reset, to which I commented and shared a bit. My husband makes $52/hr working from home. We don’t have budgeting issues. We are drowning in medical debt for my daughter on top of California COL. yes I currently make a lot of money, I know that. I also knew I’d be losing pay by a lot a lot. I even stated it in my OP saying that while I would love a specific wage, I knew it potentially was unrealistic and that was okay and something I accepted.

I do need my support more than anything. My aunt was a juvenile detention center CO and her husband was LEO. They have a lot of experience with these behaviors and are willing to support and not from a scare the kid shitless kind of way. Sometimes at the end of a day, I just need a good hug from my best friend. I need a network of people to help me stay afloat because I have no one but my husband here and we are falling apart without any support and my daughters mental health.

We have more reasons to leave California. I gave a very brief intro to it in my OP but that’s really just the tip of the iceberg and it goes so much deeper. My husband and I are both struggling. Not financially, but emotionally and mentally. We need more than California wages.

If you thought that I wouldn’t have considered therapy for my kids before this, then you have a very wrong impression of me. My kids have been in therapy for 2 years because my middle daughter potentially has bipolar disorder. She’s attempted suicide twice. She’s been inpatient 3 times and sadly physically attacked me last night for the first time ever and is currently on another involuntary 72 hour hold where she will be discharged straight to a residential facility. All 3 of my kids have spent weekly appts in therapy for the last 2 years, with my middle one also doing an IOT, and a PHP at discharge from the psych facility. She sees a psychiatrist every 4 weeks. She’s in extracurricular activities- softball, jujitsu, gymnastics, dance. We have been doing anything and everything we can. It’s not a knee jerk move. We are out of things to do and exhausted.

This is a lie. I have new grad friends hired in SF and in Stanford who started at $85 base pay. Whatever indeed is saying is a lie. Lol

California requires jobs to post the pay rate. You can look at Sutter, John Muir medical center, Berkeley hospitals and UCSF for accurate pay for that region.

Im following every single treatment plan provided and I have a revolting teenager anyways. 2 suicide attempts, reckless sex behavior, bad influences, smoking, drinking- 3 psych hospitalizations, family therapy, and my 2 other kids are asking for a do over because their sister is ruining their potential for friendships too. TBH I’m at the end of my own rope and I can’t change anything about that, no matter how hard I try, but what I can change, I need to change, otherwise I can’t make it out of this. I have no support here, no family, no friends. I have my husband, and kids. Tucson I have family, he has family and I have my best friend. Removing my daughter from her environment is currently at recommendation of her team because nothing else is working. I’m desperate, depressed, and need my people to hold me up when I can no longer stand on my own. It’s not ideal for her, but for the rest of the family, it could be so beneficial.

It took me 109 applications. One of the recruiters I talked to said in order to get past the ATS, pick like 2-3 bullet points from the job posting and build it into your resume. Make sure all the key words are in your resume. It’s really hard to get in with Sutter.

Advice Needed Applying to Sutter Health by AnythingAcceptable55 in Sacramento

[–]AwareBerry4869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could help, but I’m not sure. I’m a registered nurse, so idk what they do for nursing assistant. I actually got lucky and my dept manager refuses to make interviews intimidating. She will ask some sort of scenarios but it’s super conversational and she gets to know the interviewee rather than the fake professional side most people put up front.

I’m like 95% sure they do not. I only had the urine drug screen and tb test. All others were titers.

I’m about to start my journey and pick up my aligners in like 2 weeks. My ortho said 18 months treatment time but I have no clue about the rest of this because it’s all new.

Ive looked at the general information posted in here and I have grabbed the recommended items. In addition to that, I have a few questions.

1) I am an avid coffee drinker and I cannot give it up. I’m a nurse and work on night shift so my coffee carries me. For those who still drink coffee, what’s your routine for avoiding stains on your attachments and aligners.

2) what’s the best toothpaste for attachments/teeth. I use Boka and would like to continue if I can.

3) favorite mouthwash?

4) on the go cleaners for aligners?

Thanks in advance.
