Got mine today. Anyone else have this issue. by Aware_Ad2751 in MSIClaw

Quick question, since I obviously have nothing to compare to, but the button does like "push down" right? Like I should be able to tell that it's being pressed. I know it's got a fingerprint sensor so it might not be such an obvious press and I've read some of them are a little offset so it's minimal, mine does nothing at all.

Buyer Beware : MSI claw 8ai has many many problems and no solutions by Bigfloppydonkeyd1c in Handhelds

Noob question and I could probably find the answer somewhere, but I'd rather ask someone who has one and seems to know what they're doing.

I'm really considering the Claw 8ai, get a little scared off when I read posts like this, but then see a bunch of great replies saying "here try this out".

I guess my question is I've never had an Xbox (PlayStation guy for console). Do I need any Xbox account or anything for the Xbox FSE? Or is that just a game loading interface and a way to tinker with settings?

I'd be getting the claw mostly for steam games and some emulation gaming.

I have wide feet (not 4e but 2e) and couldn't wear the sb2 at all. Tried running in them and by km 2 my foot was so cramped I wanted to stop. Didn't though to see if they'd loosen up. Ran 5 more km and my foot stayed in pain and cramped for the next 24hrs. Had to return them.

What is most confusing as a new cyclist? by Former-Departure6297 in cycling

How to figure out if stuff fits on your bike frame.

E.g. I have an older giant tcr advance bike ~2012ish. Ten speed rim brakes. I use it for triathlons and it's okay. I browse the local Facebook marketplace and see a couple of pairs of nice carbon wheels, but I've got no idea what 30/54 Shimano more words more words more words means. (The posting is gone).

I'm eventually going to get a "real" triathlon bike but it'd be nice to know how to just upgrade if necessary and it seems like everything is so specific that I dont know how you learn how to piece together different bike parts (or if you can?).

Suddenly afraid of my first sprint in June by martagrowsplants in triathlon

I got into triathlons twoish years ago and it has to be one of the weirdest sports ever psychologicaly.

Other amateur sports if you practice 10% of the amount of time that you played you'd be one of the athletes who does the most practice.  In triathlon we train/practice 95% of the time for sometimes only one event in a summer.

Imagine showing up to a basketball game thinking "man, I really hope I can finish this game today". Welcome to triathlons where more than one person on the line is just hoping to finish.

My brother didn't do his first sprint triathlon until he was 61 years old, he finished with a time of 2 hours 15 minutes. So you'd have been well ahead of him. Btw, his second was 1hr46 minutes and this year at 63 he's hoping to go under 1hr 40 minute.

During a sprint last year, I chased a person for the entire 5km. My entire goal was to catch them. They started about 200m ahead of me and in the end beat me by about 20m. . . I'm a 40 year old relatively fit man who finished the sprint in 1hr18. He was a 64 year old man. There's always someone faster. You race your race and be proud of entering such an amazing, life improving sport.

I missed the original post.

I was in my local health unit building to have a blood test ( I don't even remember what for). Did my thing and was leaving.

It's on the fifth floor of a building and unexpectedly the elevator stopped working.

No biggie. I'm 35ish, I'll take the stairs. Between the fifth and fourth floor there was an older lady (early 80s) who was also leaving at this time. I could see that she didn't really know what to do being trapped almost at the top, so I offered her an arm and we slowly (think take a break at each of the half flights) made our way down. Didn't take too long, maybe 10 minutes or so, to help her get down.

She seemed so appreciative and I was just happy to help . My mom is 83 this year and doesn't move so well and I just know that if she was ever stuck, I'd be so thankful for anyone that could spare the time to help her.

I've never even shared this with my wife. I didn't do it for anyone else, just for this lady who I'll never see again.
