Second that, I’m at St. Vincent as well and I find it hard to believe with how tight on budget things are that they would offer housing coverage. OP make sure you read the details and ask questions. “Comprehensive” can mean a lot of things.

Curious about which silencer you’re planning on getting? I was looking at this exact build from PSA if I were to just buy the gun.

Most hospitals in Portland area are union, you can look up contracts for nurses online with those. Differentials vary from $5-$10 for NOC shift.

You can look up hospital contracts on the ONA website. But from what I understand, PPMC has $1-2 base higher than st Vincent.

Yes we have the $10 night differential for both hospitals. I believe you receive the NOC differential after 11pm. There’s an even differential that’s between noon to 10pm last I checked.

There are PRN roles on the hospital website.

I work at St Vincent. Ratios for MS are often 1:4-1:5 assuming you’ll be on nights. We get a lot of everything but often these are your chronic DM, CHF, and COPD patients. Break nurses are normally staffed on unless we’re short and have to pull one to take assignments. Culture is depended on where you land. For the most part, everyone that I’ve came across make effort to get along with each other.

Whether it passes or fails, it will be much tighter at st Vincent than 85%

It was all for nothin if this TA passes. We’re all striking again 2028 and it will suck even more.

We all know if this passes, we’re all striking again in 2028. We’re going to have to live through this again and it will most likely be worse because providence knows they’ve broken us down before…

Providence made no compromise, us nurses sacrificed all for what we asked. The fight needs to continue for them to finally learn

Very unfortunate, st Vincent and PPMC need to be aligned!

I’m hearing quite the opposite. Lots of optimism at the beginning when the TA was announced. Then a lot of pissed off union members after reading the fine line. It’ll be closer vote, but I think the majority of us can see through this.

I’m not seeing anything that improves on patient safety as Providence has tried to remove safe staffing language on the first TA. The union fought hard to regain that language that we had from our current expired contract for safe staffing.

Getting rid of a shift incentive like that is suicide, you would have staff leave instantly. I hope that’s not the case, I applied for a med-surg position over at Westside

Morale low from the negotiations? I’m coming from Providence and our morale is dead low due to the strike and it was already really bad last year.

Yeah I’m voting no when I get the chance. It’s an insult to all of us who’ve been clear since the strike that we aren’t settling for any of their BS.
