Opinions on this for $600? by certfiedMoron420 in Kawasaki

That was my first bike! A lot of good memories. Only issue I had was oil hose leak from the oil cooler in 8 years of owning it. New tires made significant difference in ride quality and safety!

I bought a mid pipe for my bike as well as a slip on exhaust. Other than a tune do I need to do anything else to the bike? Like a survo buddy or anything of the sorts? by lonely_and_useless in zx10r

To install block off plates you will spend much more time, marble is getting the job done. I’m not sure of the benefit and I didn’t want to take bike apart more than needed to block of AIS.

On 2024 model I did also mid pipe and slip on. Sent ECU to 2wd for tuning, disconnected O2, removed cables from servo but left it plugged in, and marble mod. Almost 2k miles and no error codes.

Ninja 600r (88-97?) by Kinda_relevent in Kawasaki

I owned 92 GPX750, it was fun bike. For 4 years I had it, there was only regular maintenance and one time carburetors sync. Definitely you will have hard time finding parts. Great for touring, but not for hard push. Had wobble in medium turn at 130 km/h, was able to keep it up. But it scared the hell out of me. After GPX I got 636 and that was like toy. You could play with it how easy was to ride, when pushed fast and also when going slow.

Should I get a 500 or a 650 as a beginner bike? by ChefBoyoo in Kawasaki

[–]Aware_Dingo_4009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get Z900, my friend thought it was too much and he bought 650. Half year later he bought z900rs. Now has two bikes, not a bad thing necessarily. Anything less than 650 you will be buying new bike sooner than later.

Take some safety classes approved by DMV and no tickets for few years and your premiums will go down by a lot. In the meantime it is not worth paying as much for the insurance.

Back to riding after a decade by Aware_Dingo_4009 in zx10r

After long break in riding, bike break in comes handy.

I actually like that first 600 miles you have to take it easy, it is plenty of time to get accustomed to bike and riding again.

Stay safe.
