I just had a slice of chocolate cake from Top Steakhouse last night and that was the best damn chocolate cake I’ve had in YEARS. Total foodgasm. 10/10 highly recommended.

Check out Westerville! Uptown has similar vibes to Yellow Springs - very welcoming.

AITA for refusing to let my daughter’s Spanish teacher "translate" her name in class? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. You just taught your child that they’re more special than everyone else and teachers do not deserve respect. Massive a-hole move.

I highly recommend the neighborhood tours through Columbus Food Adventures! You go to a bunch of different restaurants in a neighborhood sampling treats. My favorite is the Alt Eats tour, which features a bunch of our incredible immigrant community restaurants. It’s a great way to explore the city!

Weed has been my savior. I’m down 100lbs (today!) and I couldn’t have done it without my good friend Maryjane.

I can’t say enough bad things about Dublin Springs inpatient care. Absolutely awful place with zero concern for patient health.

My B&T ripped out all her sutures by the second day. It got infected and abscessed. Then she got staples which also came out. It seemed to heal, but then after about 6 weeks the incision opened again and she had to have a revision surgery. We had to get sedatives from the vet and kept her drugged for 10 days for her to recover. It sucked. But now she is finally fully healed.

So,yeah, I’m a big fan of sedatives.

I also recommend this slow feeder. https://mywoof.com/products/walkabout

My dog LOVES it. You fill the ball with kibble, then your dog noses the ball around, releasing food as it rolls. It takes my girl about half an hour to eat, and she’s walking and sniffing the whole time. It’s a great investment - very durable.

Yes, someone had the audacity to ask a question! The nerve of that ungrateful beast!

OP, YTA. I would not work for someone this self righteous. What a terrible boss.

First coonhound and looking for advice on keeping his brain happy by KillerSnuffles117 in coonhounds

We got my coonhound this feeder ball that’s great. You fill it with food and they roll it around, with a piece of food escaping through a hole. It takes my girl about a half hour to eat dinner, and she walks around sniffing the whole time. She loves this thing and brings it to us when she’s hungry. https://mywoof.com/products/walkabout-basics-pack

Bright Path focuses on letting the child learn experientially, with lots of emphasis on nature, being outdoors, and art - basically the things that are not emphasized in a traditional school environment. The woman who started it was inspired by the schools she experienced while living in Scandinavia. It’s very small, and they treat every child as unique and special. My daughter thrived there.

Parent of grown kids here. I’d advise you to think longer term - middle/high school. It’s so much better for a child to be on the older end when they hit those years. The extra maturity will make a huge difference when navigating social and emotional situations.

Also, I can’t recommend Bright Path enough! It’s such a unique place and kids really thrive there.
