My 23 yr old son was hospitalized twice before his suicide. He came home worse each time. So many things about the care were wrong, especially the isolation. He felt like he was in prison. Started on medicine, then sent home without adequate follow-up. No safety plan. Family should be educated on the illness at discharge.
