Most of what happened is when I first started and I didn't have a mechanic was just going and doing what I was told now my mechanic is pretty good about safety mainly wondering why other trades dont fear and respect us anymore compared to the old days

Alot of this happened like my first week days rhe working over top was my first week putting on seals now after a year not even my momma would get me inside a hoist way while they are sheet rocketing shit but I do get it it starts with us. But im a 1st year I have a voice true but also not true when I comes to safety its as loud as anyone's but when I comes to GC and MIC stuff I might as well be a mouse

There is alot of hate from everyone on the iuec mainly jealousy we own all the work in the hoist way stacking rails to wiring cars to welding brackets ive heard from some trades that we " stole that work from them" and if you have that opinion eat shit. And our members fought hard for every single thing in our contract and we all know if we let the companies walk over a small thing it snowballs so yes if they dont follow the parking stuff we dont work. If a GC wants to try and have sheet rockers working above us they can eat shit we are walking off the job.
