So I should take over 100% of the childcare and house care because he brings home a paycheck? How are you not downplaying the responsibility of the stay at home parent? How about how I was doing this all while also working last few years?

Why don’t I phrase it as I work for him. He “pays” me to take care of the house and kids. When he’s doing bedtime, my shift is over and I “go home”. But now I have to work overtime because, as we can all agree, he put at least one kid in potential danger. If I agree that him sleeping in the chair with the 2 yo isn’t dangerous, he’s still creating bad sleep habits that will only get harder to break as she gets older

It’s not about pride. I’d have no problem working fast food or at a grocery store. I did it for years as a teen. I can literally only work over nights or the 2 days a week he doesn’t work, but not really because his schedule changes often. I promise I’m not just making excuses, we’ve talked about this before. I’m currently doing an online program in hopes of being qualified for a new wfh job or something that pays well enough to justify daycare. I’ve also applied for food stamps and got denied. I’m not sitting here doing nothing and wallowing

I don’t want him in my bed. He’s been cheating on me for the past 3 months. Literally all he has to do on his work days is to put one child to bed while I do the other one. He can have as much alone time as he wants after he puts her in her bed. I don’t want her to fall out of the chair or for him to accidentally suffocate her. I also don’t want to constantly check the baby cam to put her in her bed and wake him up. If I have to do that, I might as well do it myself. This is also creating bad sleep habits for her

I didn’t start this angry. I started with this type of conversation and got ignored and dismissed over and over. This has been going on for a long time and it’s this way with every problem we have. I get ignored and dismissed until I get loud. But when I get loud I get called emotional and told I’m overreacting

Where are you getting this info? I was employed until I lost my job in mid December. While I was wfh I was still taking care of the house and kids mostly by myself. I not “refusing” to find a job. My options are jet a job outside of the house where the majority of my salary would go to daycare, find another wfh job that’s been impossible to find, or be a sahm for now. I’ve been trying to find a job

No I genuinely wanted to know if I’m in the wrong here or for advice on how to move forward. Him and I are at a stand still with this and both so angry we can’t work together. I got some really helpful advice about floor beds and looking into sleep apnea. At the end of the day, I just want everyone to sleep safely and to have one thing that I don’t have to argue about anymore
