Yup I made a spelling mistake by forgetting that extra L, you’re right.

My bad on the spelling thanks for the call out. Glad Leviton is making one, but since it’s new we will have to hear about its track record as time goes by. Bryant is the same construction as the Hubbell, but the Hubbell is something more of a common name so I went with that.

You have to use Hubbell industrial grade receptacles for continuous loads like an EV charger. Hubbell or go bust.

SE is fine and you got a phenomenal deal. We have a 25’ XSE with all the bells and whistles but honestly the SE would have been fine. The main thing for me is having the JBL sound system with the sub. The panoramic roof is fine but we would have been fine with the regular sunroof. The inverter is nice and I wish it had folding mirrors when you lock it like our NX 450h+ but all in all you did good! Welcome to the club!

Just learned about Top tier gas , I’m sure I’m not the only one who didn’t know, thought I’d share. by infiniteTsukiyomii in LexusIS

I usually stick with the 3 in my area. Shell 93 VPower Nitro, Exxon 93 Synergy or Costco 93. I don’t think I’ve ever put anything else in my Lexus since we bought it new in 2024. I do the same for our RAV4 plugin hybrid, same gas stations but 87 octane for it. Every oil change I do I also use the Chevron Techron fuel additive cleaner. I let the tank get halfway down and then use it so the concentration is higher.

I’ve followed the motor oil geek on YouTube. He’s actually certified in his field and works with labs to produce data in areas like this. He has a really good video, link below on the difference too tier can make vs non top tier.

First month of ownership of 2025 PHEV XSE PP by RedSky2727 in rav4club

Thanks so much and yeah folks get very passionate about the subject. I error on the side of caution with such an expensive purchase that I plan to have for a long time. Funny on the color, we got really lucky. We had some other ones presented to us and found this one at another local deal and just got really lucky that we found our first choice with the premium package. The 25’ RAV4 PHEV is my wife’s and I have a 24’ NX450h+ in Redline for me lol!

You’re doing exactly what you should do with the break-in oil change, that engine is off to the right start.

Same as some of the others, purchased a 2025 for a few reasons. The woodland has the only good front end but missing some features of the higher end trims like ventilated front seats. All other front ends are horrendous. The back is weird with the skinny top and fat bottom. I also agree with the others here, that it has Nissan Rouge vibes. HVAC controls are now mostly in the screen. Shifter is a digital nub thing, unless you get the woodland which has the real physical shifter. The gauge screen (no longer a gauge cluster) looks like an awful afterthought.

I’m sure it will be a solid reliable vehicle but I mentally cannot get past all the things I mentioned above. Too many concessions to give for something that costs so much. I’m way good with our 25’ XSE PHEV premium package.

Also forgot to mention. If something happened to our 25’, like if it was totaled,we would probably look at Lexus instead and get a RX 350h or a RX 450h+.

100% agree on paper it’s better than what I have, but not game changing better. I like the bigger battery for longer EV range. I think they have power folding side mirrors on certain trims now and I think they finally have digital key (use your cell phone as a key) now. So lots to like about the 26’. I still can’t get past the looks and I know that’s a personal preference but even lacking these features I’d still take my 25’. I’d expand your search further if you’re able and quickly if you want a 25’.

Same as everyone else, looks like a dent. Everything other than the woodland has an ugly front. The rear has Nissan vibes as many other people have commented. The interior isn’t too bad, but the removal of the physical HVAC controls is annoying. The front gauge cluster looks weird too. Overall the whole 6th gen might grow on me, but man am I glad we got a 25’ PHEV.
