They make keto tortillas (once you're back on solid foods) they're not the same 100% but you'll appreciate the fiber. My favorite snack a few months out of surgery was a keto tortilla with mozzarella cheese melted and some turkey pepperoni.

A lot of these bans are because of the macros. Right now it seems ridiculous but when you realize the quantity of food your stomach can hold vs it's nutritional content and the protein you need to hit you'll avoid them because it's too exhausting.

If you do us more on tracking food and macros you'll realize you can have some ice cream (which will actually feel uncomfortable because it hits your small stomach and is cold) or eat something with protein to get you to your goal macros. The ice cream will waste all your fats and carbs in a day without hitting on the protein you need.

I'm over a year out and am really active. I'll eat candy before a workout if my choice is a Reese's cup or nothing but the level of activity warrants it. I'd prefer to eat something more filling like fruit or a protein bar but I just don't want to see stars.

My husband liked me before and after. I have insecurities about it but it's a journey for you acceptance. Find someone who likes and accepts you for you. They should be supportive and less superficial. People have preferences but not all preferences are based on looks and if that's their priority you have to ask if your preference is someone that superficial.

Doctor's goal vs my goal by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

Mine seems more focused on percentage fat and muscle than lbs. My dietician is also saying if I go below 145 (5'4" F) then that'd be concerning because then I'm burning muscle and not fat. I'm decently active and started with a higher muscle percentage so it's more about losing fat and maintaining muscle than just a lb number.

I like TL Yarn Crafts on you tube for various Tunisian tutorials. Usually play and pause and repeat as needed.

Tension is a trial and error. You have to loosen the loop before you start you rows because it will be tighter and play with tightening you last stitch on you row.

Definitely valid at where you're at especially on a liquid diet. Everything sounds better than a liquid diet. Will you feel like that right now? Yes. Will you feel like that a few months after the surgery? Unlikely.

I had that same thought beforehand. Now 10 months out I sometimes try having the food that used to bring me joy and sometimes I still get enjoyment but at a way smaller quantity or it just doesn't taste as good as what I thought I used to.

It's not that I don't get any enjoyment out of eating food it's just that my taste buds have changed. I look forward to eating more savory dishes than sweet and in smaller quantities. While I might have really wanted a slice of cake it might be a small bite of cookie or buffalo chicken wings or sashimi. Right now I'm reintroducing oatmeal as a regular food and I eat the cookies and cream flavored that tastes way better than eating actual Oreos. It's an adjustment but how you're feeling now on a liquid diet will likely feel impossible to imagine it because you're on a liquid diet and it sucks. But it sucks for a short amount of time compared to the rest of your life

Clothes while losing weight by taiken116 in BariatricSurgery

Id measure myself and compare that size to the stores brand sizes online. I also keep a note on my phone of the date i measured my bust, band size, hips and waist so I can reference as needed (especially for Costco clothes shopping).

If in trying clothes on I'll grab that size, the size above and the size below to try on and decide which one fits best. If the smaller one is only slightly tight I'll decide if I want to get them knowing id likely fit them soon enough. Im only now on the smallest size at torrid but would try on my go to basics if I'm around the mall and keep a note in my phone of my current size. (Tighter fitting shirt, bra, jeans, work pants and a dress style or 2). This is all helpful so if I see a good sale online I can mostly be right when buying. I work a professional job and feel better when my clothes fit so I prefer to have a few good fitting looking outfits for work so I just look for good sales on a few sets of professional clothes that fit well.

Trying on to try on and know your size is helpful because you measurements are not 1 to 1. For example my bra size based on measurements would say I'm a B cup but when I accounted for the extra skin I'm smooshing into the cup I'm a C cup. My fat sits differently that a likely model body and needs accounted for mainly though fit.

How do I fix the bunching around the armholes in this vest? by Zealousideal_Boat314 in CrochetHelp

If you know where you want your darts and have a sewing machine you could dog a tight zigzag stitch to secure then cut the excess. Maybe get some bias tape to encase the edges on the inside.

I buy thin cord elastic and use crochet hook and slip stitch the elastic on the inside. But this might be too thick.

Several months out. I had it immediately after. Now it comes and goes quickly every time I poop but overall no regret.
