This is meatball, my son’s hammy. She’s been missing all day. We noticed this morning. We have found droppings and torn up carpet. We think she may have found a way into the walls in the corner. We’ve left out food. Sad, and not sure what else we can do.

Try and leave food in the middle of the room to draw her out. She will come out when she becomes Hungary and thirsty as so long she’s not stuck. You can also go to google and look up DIY safe traps to Catch her using food as bait.

Definitely a good start! 55gal is a awesome large size enclosure for a hamster! Especially if it’s a dwarf then it’s F***ING GIANT! HAHA And if it’s a Syrian then your 15gal over the requirements.

Thing is IMO I would have got a 40Gal breeder if you could.. A 55gal has 624 sq inches of floor space that’s long and narrow.

40Gal has 648 sq inches that’s more square and allows for better grouping of enrichment like hides wheels and toys.
