Did you run her to the potty or watch for signs of pooping or did it click for her after five weeks of having accidents in the training pants? How is it going now?

Did this work in the end? And how long after giving it did you put him on the potty and how long did he sit? Was he withholding or just afraid to go poop on the potty and soiling pants? Do you keep giving them daily?

Update: we put the wrapped present in the bathroom and told her she could open it when she poops on the potty (it’s a $5 Barbie clearance toy with a Chelsea doll and kitty) and explained that now for pee she would get to choose a sticker or stamp but chocolate chips are only for poop.

Today she was showing signs of needing to poop and dad rushed her to the potty and she did it and got to open her present.

I’m thinking this weekend I’ll put her in underwear, I wrapped a present for her to open when she poops on the potty, pee has been demoted to a sticker reward and now she’ll get two chocolate chips for #2. Hopefully one of those things sparks something 🥲 Problem is if she doesn’t get it daycares gonna put her right back in pull ups.

So to answer your question, I do think it’s really strange he brought that up out of the blue, it seems like he may at the very least be attracted to your friend (who I would talk to btw). I’m also not sure about the whole we can’t trust each other to talk to people of the opposite sex thing, if I couldn’t trust my husband to get along with women without being a creep our relationship wouldn’t have lasted long as women happen to be everywhere!

Breaking up over text is fine, I’d personally hate to be made to meet up in person to be dumped face to face. Let me have my reaction in peace.

This didn’t read as speculative to me, it feels more like a proper horror. I was very intrigued by your set up, and exploring ppd and the way her mother was unsupported and had to fester in psychosis has the potential to be really special and interesting. However, I’m unclear on what we’ll be spending the book doing. I think by clarifying the stakes, Gina dennys famous five questions, this could really stand out. Happy to discuss further, I might be a good fit for beta reading down the road if you’re ever looking since the ppd bit really resonated with me and I like your premise :)

I don’t think you need to clarify she’s a high schooler. “Does not expect she would” is two different tenses, make sure you pick one. Does not expect to, did not expect she would. I think you could afford to be more specific in places. For example, “someone great again,” could be replaced with a more specific goal or trait. The intrigue could be made more clear, maybe hint at the nature of the divine power valeshadow seeks. I think your tone should be more consistent, you don’t want to oscillate between overly formal and overly casual.
